you mean like this: é ééééé å ø î ê â œ?´®†¥¨ˆøø?“‘«åß?ƒ©???¬…æ??ç??˜µ??÷
and in caps, they look like
Œ?´®†Á¨ˆØ?“‘«ÅÍÎÏ©ÓÔ?Ò…Æ??Ç??˜Â??÷
and the numbers:

The Toronto pizza chain that does a potato-cream-sauce-rosemary-garlic pizza has opened a location within delivery distance of my house. This could be very bad. The Patate Alla Crema pizza is terrific.
Naptime sounds good.
Does anybody else think that BioRosie might need to talk to her doc about either uppin’ or lowerin’ the pain meds?
Naptime and ummm… etc. was good. It’s all cloudy like here, so here’s hopin’ for rain!
The current debate at da cave is whether or not it’s a might too early yet for martini time. Opinion is leanin’ towards it being the perfect time for martini time. That’s what I’m gatherin’ by the fact that a certain somebody just walked in holdin’ the cocktail shaker. Think that’s a hint?
Bobbio I’ve been doin’ a little local type consultin’ on the side. This was just innerestin’ cause it was like out of the blue. Just think, I could be another 'im indoors!*

Those of you who take good notes will remember that I mentioned a certified letter yesterday. I stopped at the PO to pick it up today, after worrying what the heck it could possibly be or who might be suing us or what long-forgotten obligation was coming back to bite us in the proverbial ass.
It was from our auto insurance company telling us why or rates went up so much. They coulda saved the $3.39 in postage, since we’re dumping them as soon as I decide who will get our business. How dare they induce such fret for NOTHING!!! aaarrrrrgggghhhhhhhh!!
In other news, TGIF! In a few minutes, I’ll change back into grubbies and head back to my studio - lots of work to be done if I’m going to fire a load tomorrow. I need to quit procrastinating. Yeah, like that’ll happen.
**FCD ** took the afternoon off and he’s futzing on the boat again. I expect he’s roasting, too - it’s doggone hot here! But the house is a comfy 76, and the basement should be cooler.
I got nothing else. Work was dull, except for the part where I inhaled a piece of Cheeto and got a major coughing fit. Poor Tony asked if I needed to be Heimliched - I was able to wave him off, but it was almost half an hour before I stopped coughing. Even now, my throat hurts a wee bit. But other than that, it was a boring day.
And so I’m off. Hugs and air kisses all around!
During PT today, I did the stairs with the crutch - Monday we go outside and try to get in and out of my car. Yay! Freedom approaches!
Now do you understand why we shouldn’t give the elderly hard crunchy things to eat children?
Oh like you thought I could pass up a line like that!
er, would the elderly still eat children even if we didn’t give them hard crunchy things?
Bite me, bear!
<snerk> good one, rosie!
Yay! You did the stairs – freedom awaits! It’s your right knee, right? You should have no problem driving in the near future – I found that just by angling my foot, I could move it from gas to brake without having to lift my leg much or move it suddenly, even if I had to brake sharply. Yay for freedom!!
Sigh. Cocktail hour is still more than an hour off! I will have the big decision on whether to have a glass of cabernet Sauvignon , or an ice-cold Corona. (I hope Doper silenus doesn’t read the MMP; I promised him I’d swear off the Corona. He claims there are much better Mexican beers I could be wasting my money on.)
Anyway, I wish it would rain. It’s so dry here the grass crackles.
why not a flavored martini? have you ever had a chocolate martini? creme de cacao, vanilla vodka, cream, and the glass is lined with chocolate syrup. Mmmmmmmmmmboy, do those go down easy.
Yummy!
Mr. SCL is building a display case for my jewelry for the craft show; my stuff is so small I’m worried about shoplifters. This is an open to the public event with no admission charge, so there is no weeding out of the riffraff. He also got me come concrete so I can make a marker for Gwen’s grave.
It’s clouding up a bit so I am really really hoping for rain. We need it badly.
We have a tornado watch here. There’s a big storm hovering somewhere over the Mississippi River that isn’t moving. In just about 90 minutes, all the little [del]snot nosed creeps[/del]kiddies will be home and I don’t have to watch the weather.
Crap–if you have a tornado watch, I’ll have one soon, too.
It’s been that kind of day: hot, humid with thunder clouds gathering and a stillness in the air. There be a storm coming, methinks.
I have to WORK MY LAST BACK TO BACK 12 HOUR SHIFT WEEKEND THIS WEEKEND! I am excited about that. Nothing like working 24 out of 48 hours to make a body feel…exhausted.
PS-I HATE cicadas. Can’t hear myself think outside. ugh.
Snakes they keep sayin’ we’ll get rain this weekend. It’s all cloudy/smokey here right now. ICK!
In other news… burgers are et and martini time is a’happenin’. The big decision was that grillin’ should happen before martinis cause after a couple martoonis I ain’t goin’ near open flames. Them matirnis is powerful stuff after all.
BTW… flavored martinis are an instrument of the devil. Gin and vermouth are the only things that should ever be in a martini. All else is wrong. Wrong I say!
Ok, time for another mraitni…
I leov yuo gsuy!
one of the things I hate is people who call, hear an answering machine pick up, and don’t even leave a “hi, it’s so-and-so”. please call me back" kind of message. I got two of those this evening while I was in the other room and it’s not like I can bolt for the phone these days! grrrrrrr
Oh yeah, I’m with you, rosie. I console myself with the idea that the hangups are people trying to sell me something, so I’d hang up on them anyway (politely, but still…). Glad to hear you’re progressing toward FREEDOM! Yay!
So, has the big airport dancing cucaracha reunion happened yet? Are there pictures?
I’m tired, so although I’ve read all of today’s posts, remarkably little made it into my brain.
I need to get to Target briefly, but after that, I think I’ll be wandering bedwards…
GT
Tomorrow morning, 9-ish AM Chee-cago time.
There will be pictures.
**rosie ** - maybe they were just telemarketers! Look for the silver lining, woman! (sheesh, gt, you jumped in too fast!!)
We had a late (for us) dinner at Arizona Pizza, and we’re just back. I’ve got a load of jeans in the washer, and when it’s done, I need to do a load of whites since someone is now out of unders. I’ve quit glazing for the evening - it’s time to chill. Tomorrow morning, I’ll be back to work early.
We’ve got chances of rain over the next few days, but I don’t expect much. I just hope next Saturday will be a pretty day - the Artsfest goes on, rain or shine. But I’ll worry about that next week - I’ve got other stuff to worry about in the interim…
I got home, and took a nice 3 hour nap. I haven’t been called back to work, so I guess most people showed up.
Ellen, Part of the Wednesday yelling was the DM telling me not to use the sales forecast numbers he gave me to plan the week’s staffing. That’s why that part of Skippy’s list came up. Remember, it’s five o’clock somewhere.
swampy, I agree about martinis, If it ain’t gin, it’s a sin.
