No I have not much encountered him.
Consider that a blessing.
I dunno, sometimes it’s fun to watch a trainwreck, and our acey is the pure, unadulterated incarnation of ridiculous and clueless stupidity who keeps on giving, and then some. It’s always one of my great pleasures to see this thread get bumped.
acey drops this turd in the thread about the London apartment building fire.

I think I’ve finally cracked the aceplace pattern for his topics. They all contain the same three things:
- Comment in which he acts like he knows what he’s talking about
- Anecdote that isn’t really relevant to the discussion
- Question that reveals he doesn’t know what he’s talking about
Usually the first two come fast, and the 3rd comes out a day or two later. If we’re lucky though, it’s all in one post:

It was “invented” in this country, during the mid to late 1800’s.
Go at night
You have to be back before sunrise.
Admit it! You cracked nothing, you just cribbed off someone describing Trump’s MO.
It’s not just that he doesn’t like the casting … IT HAS LITERALLY RETROACTIVELY DESTROYED THE ENTIRE 54-YEAR-OLD FRANCHISE!!!
I’ve never been into Doctor Who, but I may start watching. Anything that pisses off Acey is a good thing.
Hey, how would you like it if a show depicted George Washington as a black woman?
George, no. Martha, yes.
That’s what I was thinking. I’d probably love this show.
It’s funny because the show is based around the idea that the Doctor *literally *changes his entire body/character to someone different whenever the actor wants to leave the show. Like that’s the whole reason why the show has been around for so long. And it’s canon that his species can change sexes as well.
Of course now acey’s doing his typical backpedaling bullshit since no one else here agreed with him.
That’s a bit different, since George Washington was a historical figure who wasn’t a black woman - in case you’re not aware, the Doctor is a fictional character who is an alien that humans happen to look like who periodically gets a fresh new body and personality. And in general having actors portray people who they don’t actually look entirely like is nothing new. For example, Shakespeare’s plays had men playing all of the women’s parts in the original performance, and had lilly-white Brits portraying all of the roles even for the ones set in places like ancient Rome.
Penfeather was referring to one of acey’s followup posts in that thread:
You’ve been whooshed.
As long as she has a penis, that we get to see, then I don’t care if the Doctor is a he or she.
