My comment was purely personal and does not reflect my views as a Mod and certainly does not reflect the views of any other member of the staff.

I have no opinions, whatever, regarding the reportedly “cheering” people. I have seen too many odd descriptions without any transcript of their actual words or even a video of the purported actions. Without a valid frame of reference, I will simply note that in any large scale traumatic event, there will always be some people who behave oddly and without a context, I don’t really care who they were.

Finn does get carried away with his accusations from time to time, and I tend to want to call him on it when he gets too far afield. That was my only point, to him.

So, Finn made an inference on your intentions, based on other statements you have made and I pointed out that his inferences were not specifically supported by your actual words. Beyond that, I don’t care.

(OTOH, you did include in that paragraph a really dumb claim about melting metal–a claim that has been debunked numerous times on this board each year since the attack–as well as a factually deficient claim about debris from the wreckage that demonstrated a serious lack of comprehension regarding the actual crashes, so you have pretty well established that you really are a Truther, regardless whether you are anti-Israeli or anti-Jewish or just silly. :stuck_out_tongue: )

Here’s the thing about Finn. He has a LOT of time on his hands. If he had any evidence he would quote it (out of context if necessary) to prove his point. He has been known to go through 30 page threads to find a single quote that he can use. If he hasn’t produced any hard quotes by now then 'luc never said it. Finn is just being reflexively defensive of Zionism, his favorite method of defense is to call people anti-semites. It frustrates him that after years of these accusations, noone takes these accusations seriously anymore.

He does this in GD as well and seems to get away with it.

BTW, is there any way to have ignore work in some forums and not others? I’d like to be able to read and respond to Finn in the Pit without having to read his posts in GD (I know I can open his posts and toggle ignore on and off but I was just wondering).
