Doesn’t the wind get tired, keeping up that velocity for more than 12 hours? you’d think it would take a break or go lie down or something.

Sweet!

Also, I survived a fire earlier on yesterday.

   Do tell!
I think the weather was rather over-hyped. Last night, we had about two minutes of hard rain, and then it rapidly dropped off to a drizzle. As for the window screen, I don’t know for sure that it disappeared yesterday. It was more of looking out a window we don’t look out of all that often and noticing that there was no screen.

As for the hillbilly neighbors, they’ve had a toilet in the front yard now for close to three weeks.

Howdy from da cave! I’s home and tahrd! Betwixt irk and funeralizin’ I am just plumb tuckered out.

OYKW is swipin’ the General’s dindin on his way over here. Fine by me cause I do not feel like cookin’ even though I have poke chops all thawed out. I can do sump’n with 'em tomorrow or Sattidy. I also have to make turkey ‘n dressin’ and all the trimmin’s, or get a good head start on it on Sattidy. It’s MOG’s bday dindin Sunday and she has decreed it shall be turkey ‘n dressin’ which is her most favorite commestible in the world.

Midget do tell about the fire. Also this is all I know about opera.

gotti to you it’s a terlet in the yahd. To the hillbilly neighbors it may be a planter for their Spring peonies. One never knows!

Wagner, music from Die Walkure, Lohengrin, Tannhauser and Siegfried.
Elmer Fudd seems to combine the characters Wotan, Siegfried and Donner.

Behave yourself, or I shall post more nerdy opera things.
:dubious:

Heh. Hillbilly neighbors. That’s the tri-county area, dude. As Oldest Sister said at Christmas, “You know, we (my sisters and I) had rather lily-white necks considering where we grew up. Never watched NASCAR. Never watched rasslin’. Didn’t live in a trailer.” We were high class folks!

The mountains took all the hype out of the rain for you yesterday.Flooded like gangbusters last night.

Home. Just finished insuring FCD’s new toy. He’ll pick it up this weekend, with the trailer - it’s to freekin’ cold to be riding.

Supper will be chickie strips, sugar snap peas, and N.O.T.-n-onions.

I’s tahred. I don’t wanna cook. I don’t wanna go to work tomorrow. It’s so difficult being me sometimes. <insert tragic pose of suffering and woe>

Evenin’!
That’s some scary sounding weather- I’m glad ours is just something to moan about, not actually dangerous…

Actually been moderately productive today- did things involving compost, went to the bank, started organisin’ bufdy stuff, even did some housework that I didn’t have to do. I feel like a proper growed-up.

It’s not as dramatic as I made it sound. I was in a building food court (the train station.) I had just finished supper when the fire alarm went off and someone came over the intercom, saying a fire emergency had been reported. So I went outside. I rescued all of my stuff that I had with me. I never actually saw the fire, but a few minutes later, I heard many fire trucks driving towards the train station, so it must’ve been at least somewhat serious.

No reports about it in the news, though, so I suppose nobody was harmed.

Swampy, we watched the cartoon you linked in film music class in university.

It warms my heart cockles to know they still teach the classics.

flytrap because I got class out da yingyang, here’s you some more opera. Well, sorta opera.

Wait, this isn’t about mixed-member proportional?

Maybe I should go back to Elections.

That ain’t Wagner, Libretto Breath.

I know that ain’t Wagner. I never said it had anything to do with bbq. SHEESH!

No, but this is.

Well, I was thinking about going out and seeing a movie tonight (Tarantula, a 1950s giant bug movie featuring John Agar, Nestor Paiva, and Clint Eastwood Before He Was Famous) but I’ve gotten really involved in a book so I’m going to finish the book instead. It’s a rare Shakespeare biography that makes me burst out laughing at least five times so far. I’ve decided I love Bill Bryson very much indeed.

Time to knit the night away. So glad the week is almost over…

We’ve been there, done that.

well, pppbbbbbbbth!

Oh Rosie! IS that Yiddish?!?!

Got invited to dinner and then my friend wants to rub stinging nettle on me. There’s a good reason: she’s doing a botanical play talk at the BDSM club I go to and she has to double check stuff. She doesn’t react strongly to it (I’m not sure if I will either).

Worked on my current conlang. Got a post up with the colors, which was a bit of a chore. I’m also working on figuring out categories of words in a concept map - things like place, emotion, home, etc, not parts of speech (which is easy). That’s so I can use the words I have to derive more words, instead of making up new things. It’s a giant mess, but that’s okay.
