All Diablo2 Talk here.........

Bul Kathos isn’t the best for a Whirly barb - but I love it on my SP Frenzy barb. It doesn’t have the IAS to hit the top WW breakpoints, even with Shaels (remember, for WW, each sword’s IAS is calculated separately). I can get a lot more damage from my crafted Executioner swords (I’m in 1.07), but it’s a fun set to have on.

Correct - Mythical Swords are TC90.

The good news: my Burizon is actually in a position to run Hell Pindle with about 600% MF.

The bad news: SP.

I also forgot about Sword Mastery. In what order are bonuses to damage applied?

I think my burizon will be doing some pindle runs herself. Her mf is only 430, but that will have to do. I’ll probably run Baal also because his top minions can drop it too, although their drop normally suck. I might as well run whatshisname in the highlands because he can drop lvl 90 items also.

It sucks that I did the Nith quest and have his wp. That means I have to start the game with anther character to get to pindle easily.

BTW, the character I have to use them has sword mastery maxed and has 15 or so in frenzy.

isn’t it maddening that if you had a bit more MF on, your BK col.blade could’ve been something else? cough grandfather cough

Have a cold?

Yeah, what the heck. I take what it gives me…

Did just find Sazabi’s armor. I guess a little more mf it could have been Arkaine’s Valor…

I found my Valor while running with mf under or near 500. In the Frozen River. It’s on a lvl 89 barb who’s got something like lvl 39 BO.

Yes, you read right. Level 39. Could be higher, but putting SOJ on him would be a waste.

He was my MFer until I found my buriza.

[sub]Goddamn 15 pair of aldur’s boots and 45 pair of IK boots…[/sub]

I think that everything that gives a percentage enhanced damage (modifiers on weapons, masteries, etc.) is added together, and then you multiply by the base. So base weapon damage is more important than modified damage. Increased attack speed works similarly, which is why a Buriza is either an extremely fast weapon or an extremely slow weapon, depending on who you ask: If you take an inherently fast bow and add 100% IAS from other sources, you’ll double the speed of the bow, but if you do the same with a Buriza (inherently slow, but already has 100% IAS), you’ll go from 100% IAS to 200%, and hence only increase its speed by a factor of 1.5.

What’s that level 39 BO buy you, punha? It seems to have pretty steep diminishing returns on the amount of life it gets you. The duration goes a lot higher, but it’s not like it’s difficult to re-cast it. Re-cast before it wears out, and you don’t even need to refill your lifeball after casting it.

And I’ve found a few pairs of sets which can be co-completed, but are there any three sets which can all be worn together? Weapons seem to be the sticking point: Most sets include a weapon and/or a shield.

No it doesn’t. IAS on a bow works just the same as IAS off a bow. The only thing that affects IAS on a weapon differently are Whirlwind and Fury.

Here is a listing of the IAS charts for amazons. PLEASE note that there is no difference between IAS on or off the weapon.

  1. IAS does NOT affect the Base Weapon Speed (BWS) - i.e. adding a Shael to a [10] bow does NOT change it to a [-10] bow, despite what you see on Arreat.
  2. There is a VERY distinct difference between a [10] bow’s BWS and a [10] crossbow’s BWS.

The IAS necenssary to raise the FPS for a crossbow-class weapon differs sharply from that necessary for a bow-class weapon. IIRC the demon crossbow (which is a silly weapon anyway) can only be increased IAS-wise once. After that you can pour 500% IAS into it and you won’t get a single fps shooting better.

After loading the character, I start out with:

Life 1338

After casting BC (twice, just to make that +skill last a bit longer) and BO, I have 3331 life.

It goes up 6 seconds and 3% life, mana and stamina every level.

There are several sets that can be worn simultaneously … the Bul-Kathos and Cow King/Disciple/Iratha can be worn at the same time, for example.

But let’s think here. Even if we could put together, say, a Bul-Kathos with a Cow King, that leaves:

gloves
amulet
ring
belt

You could work in most of a third set (Laying of Hands, Telling of Beads, Credendum from The Disciple set), but you only have so many slots you can fill.

1.10 for BattleNet became AVAILABLE yesterday

Enjoy…

Anyone who’s logged on to Battle.net already is; the DL is automatic. Me, I’ve got Diablo II set up for both 1.09 and 1.10; it’s easier that way.

Got a barb to lvl 19 in act 3 so far…

i have a barb level26 in act4 in ladder so far… i couldve been listed on the ranks but damnit i like to sleep lol. How does these ppl live playing to level 80’s in one day.

on the ITH/HACKED/BUGGED front… or as they call it Ruststorm. It actually worked on my hacked/bugged items, but I think it takes out legit .08items as well. I’ve seen so far my legit .08lanceguard shield go byebye.

another funny thing is that one of my closest d2 buddies made his first game on normal realms only to find that the world event occurred there and took him 20minutes to kill the diablo clone only to be rewarded justly with the Annihilus small charm… dont know if it was a perfect one but i know it had +10% more exp gained on it, 16 all resists and 12 to all attributes (str/dex/vit/eng)

he was lucky to have seen it and got the reward… too bad I wasn’t online to help him. He told me he was trying to find someone to help him. Funny thing is he offered to give it to me for free. I helped him alot and he wanted to give back in return. Touching and a great d2 bud indeed.

He even helped me mule my ethereal CB to be socketed, and held on my VEX and ZOD as well as HEL, EL, ELD and ETH so I can make my personal Breath of teh Dying CB… It turned out to be 393%ED with 12%LL. I think those are the only varying mods.

Guys enjoy the fun laddering now… I wanted to crack the ranks but a normal sleep life is what I’d rather have.

oh and this game is hard only if you try and solo a full game. Soloing with just you is fine. I think I can get to Hell cows in about a week of decent hours of playing time. Just remember this one thing for melee type chars. Crushing blow is going to be your new favourite modifier.

Well, I got up to lvl 23 and got into Act 4 before quitting last night. I guess that’s adequate for only playing for 5 hours so far… Some of the people that I played with apparently have found some decent stuff, I’ve found squat so far…

I’m trying to take advantage of the new synergies thing. According to the skills list, bash is supposed to up dual wield damage 10% for each point in bash. It doesn’t seem to work, but maybe I’m just looking at it wrong. What I really need to find is leech stuff. It seems that I’m always drinking health or mana potions…

To add to Madawc’s suggestiong that Crushing Blow is a wonderful thing, I will say that it stacks funny. Seems that each source is checked seperately. So it’ll be something like:

A% + B%(1-A%) + C%[1-B%(1-A%)] … = final%

OK, colour me masochistic; I’m trying an elemental Druid. I’d say that so far he’s pretty good, but “so far” is only the Halls of the Dead. That said, Fissure is knocking down packs of everything in sight and Spirit Wolves seem to be rather hard to hit - they last almost forever before getting killed.

I’ll let you know how it goes.

Evil, you should know that Druids can now summon and cast Elements while in Wereform. An excellent addition.

It also appears at dii.net that assassins are really kicking ass. As in, kick assassins are really viable. REALLY viable.

You can only cast Armageddon while shifted, not all of the elemental skills.

Still, they improved the damage on almost all of the Druid’s elemental skills, so an elemental Druid is reasonably survivable.

That’s because they added damage to boots.

I know that Hurricane and Armageddon can be cast in wereform, but I’m going almost pure elementalist with a few points in summons - a couple in Dire Wolf, as many as I can spare in Oak Sage.
