Last night I met up with this guy I work with online and his gear beats damn near all of us. He has a level 93ish Sorc using Oculus and Shako and every other awesome piece of eq possible. All socketed with Iths. The shield is a “Troll something” and looked pretty nice too. Impressive array of gear.
Anyway, who had an elemental driud? Anyone want the Atlantean sword? Or Ormus’ Robes? He gave me some random things that I really don’t have a use for.
There are a lot of people who would like Griswald’s set. Just to let you know, it’s the hardest set to find, iirc there are 3 pieces of it that are high level elite that can only drop in a few places. The armor is the easiest to find.
My wish list? Jaysus… where do I start? Azurewrath, Lightsabre, Grandfather, Windforce, Valor, Tyrael’s Might, Skullders, Harlequin Crest, the unique arachnid mesh belt, soj’s, BK’s set, Bk’s ring, Highlords ammy, Mara’s ammy, M’av’s set, the rest of Trang’s set, and the list goes on… then we can go to my runeword wishlist… 
Any of that stuff I can use or make a character to use. That’s why I keep doing Pit runs, if just one of those drop I’ll either have a use for it on a current character or I’ll build a character around the item.
Current setup:
I mostly use the setup as it is defaulted on install. I use F9-12 and 5-8 if I need them, though I don’t think I have more than a half-dozen hotkeys for skills on my barb. F12 has been my TP button since the expansion came out, and when I use amazons (I standardize hotkeys for each charclass), F10 is my Valk. F6 is and always will be BC, F5 BO and F8 Defense shout. 7 is find pot, F7 is leap attack (it replaces leap there when I get it), F10 is Find Item on a barb.
Fen, I would be careful with socketing the Stormlash with a Shael. Find out the breakpoint for it (it’s been so long since I did breakpoint calcs for anything but a bow that I honestly don’t remember where to find them. I don’t imagine it’d be hard, I just really don’t know where to look. The place where I went for bow/cb breakpoints was an amazon guide page, and I somehow doubt they’d have anything there for maces). At that speed I do not think that a Shael would help out a ton, esp. with Fanat. But what do I know?
I do need those runes, or at least the Mal, for Call to Arms. The Kos are not essential, but if I get one more I can transmute up to something much higher, I think (I have 2 of a buncha runes).
The Occulus is a good orb, +3 to skills and 50% mf, the Shako I imagine you know. But socketed with Iths?? I imagine they’re socketed with Ists, although why he would waste an Ist on armor or helm when a ptopaz is just 1% less magic find…
I had an elemental druid… well actually I still do but I don’t play him anymore. I’ll make another one eventually, but the first one is fatally flawed.
Forgot to mention about Gris set.
In 109, with allll my MFing (probably more than anyone who’s posted here, including vol), I did not find the whole set of Gris (none of BK, either). I found the armor so many times I got sick of it. But I never found another piece. I don’t recall what can drop at Meph, but if you want to find the Gris set, count on a lot of Hell Baal runs (and Pindle, but my understanding is that he got nerfed). Fen, if you, me and vol do those runs we could probably do one (including time to TP down to throne) in about ten minutes. A Meph run, by contrast, takes about 3 minutes, maybe 4 if we kill the council as well (in the time it takes Vol to do Meph and open the chests in the top of the room, I usually have the council finished. He helps finish them off, and if I’m not fighting the council I’m taking damage from Meph or hitting him myself). I can’t run straight through W2-Throne in Hell as I can in NM because the dmg I’d take is just so much higher than in NM. The poison alone floors me, and I have 4K HP and 55 psn res.
It’s a very valuable set, though not as much as it might be if more people played paladins. I quite honestly do not know the trade value for any parts of the set, so I’m of no help there.
Because, I imagine, he either bought the runes or duped them. If you had a stash full of Ists tell me you wouldn’t go for the prestige of having an Ist in armor…
For those who do not load D2.net several times a day, there has been (gee, surprise here) massive duping of runes lately, leading to a flooded market. The good thing is that this means runes are less valuable (in theory; try telling that to someone who didn’t dupe his Ist 100 times); the bad thing is that this means A) runes are less valuable and B) lag and C) more duping is surely on the way. Why people can’t restrict their cheating to Open Bnet, where cheating is allowed, I don’t know.
Lol, I don’t know that I care too much about prestige, but I get your point. And I have heard about the rune exploit.
I’m getting tired of using that damn necro, even though he can carry the most mf and still survive in hell, he’s boring to play. I think I’ll start playing the zons in public games when there aren’t any Dopers on-line. I’m also going to get my barb going again as soon as I get him equipped decently. I may have enough equipment spread around to play him a little once I gather it up.
Quick question:
Can two machines using NAT connect to DII Battle.net at the same time? They’re sharing my DSL line, going through a Netgear MR314 router.
I seem to recall not being able to do it with Starcraft, but that was years ago and I’m not even sure if I’m recalling correctly.
IIRC, as long as your D2C and D2XP cd keys are different for each machine, you can do it. Who_me? has had two chars ingame at the same time.
I am quickly tiring of Hell Baal runs, mainly because they are so boring. Then again, Hell Meph runs are as well. Rushing isn’t mainly because I (hopefully) don’t spend too much time in one act. So I don’t know how enthusiastic I am to get to lvl 90 just so I can gamble for +2 skill amulets.
As punha says, yeah no problem as long as the game CD keys (both Diablo2 and D2 LOD) are different. You can even use the same account, although I’ve been tagged a few times when doing this. I was on a cable connection with a router.
Who_me?: I’m starting a necro and have a mid-level Bowazon. If you want, lemme know and we can build your characters and mine up together. Diablo’s pretty dull solo.

I’ll do the ANCIENT’S PLEDGE with the shield instead, which, (assuming average rolls on the KO/KO/MAL shield) would only give me 15 less resists, so it’s not the end of the world!
Anyway, like I said, I should be on most of saturday and sunday (intermittently) so maybe we can get a ton of runs done. And besides, I keep hearing that Hellforge drops better with more people in the game so maybe we can get better stuff.

And + fire skills grand charms would always be welcome, too.
Since folks are asking about hotkeys, I usually use QWER ASDF and F1-F8, though I don’t put things on the F keys I need to use quickly. My SP Bowazon hardly ever uses the F keys, but then, 'zons don’t need to use too many skills. My SP necro, by contrast, still doesn’t have enough keys, between his curses, his summons, and his attacks. F1 is always Town Portal, Q is usually my most-used attack skill (often something icy), and D is usually basic “attack”, but other than that, there’s little constancy. All other keys are default.
Hey, Punha! Thanks to the group you got me into I’m now at level 84 and I really wanna try Stormlash, so my goal in life (or at least in Diablo! ) is to help you get that Call To Arms. I got an IST a while back. Will that help? What do you need, anyway?
Question:
If I have two weapons, and they’re just about the same as far as damage dealing goes and speed, but one has a longer range and the other has ‘prevents monster heal’ and ‘ignore target defense’, which would you use?
How effective are those two mods in Nightmare?

Sturm, after you and your wife take a hot shower, have her watch you team up with us for a while and when she see’s the cooperation, she’ll want a piece of the action, and the items that come with it…what is your account name again? (I need to add it on my friend list) We have a fire sorc and a cold/lightning amazon, so have her pick a character other than those two and then she’ll take anything that helps her character class…
