FTR - I tried to nibble Smokey. Never again. Not that she seemed to mind, but sheesh.
Here you just have to let them scan your license and sign - oh and you have to be 18+. If his insurance had covered it, the copay would have been $20 for the generic. Since they didn’t cover it, it was $7.99.
Probably not. The only time I’ve used it while in the driving seat was when I managed to get stuck on the motorway between the last turn off and an accident. I think I was there for about 6 hours, and was playing it to stop myself going too mad- then realised that not only did I have my car windows down, so did the car next to me, and there were 4 guys in there practically falling over laughing at my emotional rendering of ‘Scotland the Brave’.
Still reget that the jam started moving just as I was thinking I might as well get the hula hoop I had in the back of the car out, and try busking on the M6…
I have nothing of worth to contribute.
Those of you that might be surprised by this revelation feel free to say “OMG”
I expect crickets…
CatDude, you’re just not trying hard enough to entertain us. I, for one, am appalled. We may have to convene a tribunal to give you a stern talking-to.
CatDude as the starter of this week’s MMP, I command you to entertain me! A pole dance would be nice.
gotti I do that too. It’s like all I can do to not say “NEENER! NEENER! NEENER!”
Howdy Y’all! Home from men’s night at the church house. Steak good. Beerverages good. [del]BSing[/del] discussion of high and holy ecclesiastical issues good. Always a fun time!
Now I shall go lie upon the bed and watch me some teevee until beddybye time.
Nitey Nite Y 'all!
I killded my own MMP!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 59 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 75. Definitely a light jacket mornin’ followed by a jacketless afternoon.
Where is everybody? Wake up! As for me I shall seek out more caffiene and feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence. Only three more days!
Happy Tuesday Y’all!
Blurf. I hates insomnia.
Blurf.
Blurf.
Blurf
Blurf.
Easy for you to say.
UPS is up to something weird here.
Last night, there was a regular-sized UPS truck parked in a neighbor’s driveway, with another truck parked on the street. The first truck pulls out of the driveway, and the other one then backs in. Don’t know if they were loading or unloading. We were on the way to the grocery store and it was chilly and dark, so I wasn’t able to do much hose-nosing.
Unless our neighbors are moving and decided to spend a ton of money on freight, rather than use a normal moving truck, I can’t imagine a house having so many packages going in or out that UPS would send two trucks.
Dang gotti and we can’t get UPS to send ONE truck to the office to pick up two packages. Seriously. We have called every day for two weeks and everytime we’re told a pickup is scheduled but no UPS truck. UPS hates my irkplace.
Up for the second time today - probably for good this time. I got up around 5 because I couldn’t fall back to sleep, so I came out to the living room to watch the news. Around 6, I was tired again, so back to bed I went. I was just awakened a bit ago - before 9!!! - by someone on the phone wanting me to distribute their charitable pleas. I think not. First off, they thanked me for my past support, but it’s not a charity I send money to. Secondly, if they sent out their own literature instead of calling and asking me to do it, they’d probably have more luck. Third, I was asleep, dammit!
We’ve had a little rain, but the big mess isn’t due till tonight. I’ve got to run to CVS to get my meds, then to JoAnn’s to get 3 buttons for daughter’s sweater. I’ll be putting the sweater and the afghan thru a rinse cycle in the washer, then they should be ready to go. I hope. I really hate making sweaters… But while I’m at JoAnn’s, if they’ve got yarn on sale, I may get a mess for my next afghan.
I found out yesterday that my former boss would have remained my boss had I not left. That pisses me off. One of the reasons I decided to retire (there were at least 3 biggies) was that all of the branch heads were to be replaced with military guys. I’ve found that as a civilian, working directly under a military guy really sucks. But Al emailed me and said not only is he not being “reorganized” - his branch is going to double! grrrrrrrr He’s planning to work the week between Christmas and New Year, so I asked if he wanted to meet for lunch one of those days. I need to get all the gossip.
What else? Nothing. Maybe I’ve got enough dirties to run a load in the washer. I’ll water my house plants today. But it’s looking like a pretty dull Tuesday here.
Mebbe your neighbor is Santa’s safehouse, and UPS was delivering the Naughty and Nice list.
per scene in the original The Santa Clause.
Family in SE Colorado sent snow pics this am. While they got a couple of feet the 40 mph winds created drifts around their houses over 4’ deep. Sure looks pretty though.
My kid’s been doing shoots for Academy lately. If you get their flyer she’s the one in the purple warm up. Weird to see your progeny in the paper each week but she thinks it’s cool and I suppose it’s harmless enough.
Working retail the week before hexmas + finals week is the week before hexmas = AAAAGGGGGHHHHHH!!!
My History final is at 2 today, and Spanish at 8 tomorrow morning - finishing just in time for me to be half hour late to work. Somehow, I don’t have to work on Thursday. Maybe I can find out what sleep actually is! Then it starts all over again on 1/23. At this rate, I should be earning my BA sometime in 2018 or so.
Well, looks like I’m getting a contingent job offer on the application I submitted last week. It attaches my resume to a position and if it gets funded, I will actually start working. Same as my resume being at my husband’s company.
Government contracting is weird. So if there’s a job, I’ve got the job, but as long as our lawmakers are farting around with money, there may never be a job. But if there is, it’s mine. I think.
I’m just glad I’m not dependent upon this to make the mortgage. Plus if it happens, it’s an R&D position, which is something I always wanted to do. So yay! I think.
