JJ lost the St. Christopher medal his father gave him (from his father’s safe stint in WWII) and went out to look for it, and ended up shooting a Vietnamese peasant.
Patty was snooping for Meg’s diary, and, when her mom asked her (from downstairs) what she was doing in Meg’s room, left it on the bureau – where the mom later found it and read it – that’s why she knew that Meg was seeing the college guy.
Nick Lachey did a really cheesy Tom Jones imitation.
Uncle Pete took Will out to help him collect on his paper route, and pretended the car was going to blow up – forcing Will to run across the street to safety without his crutches. Will now realizes he’s going to be a lot more mobile, thus the moment with him looking at the bike.
Patty went to the record store with something (cookies? I wasn’t paying 100% attention) for Luke, on whom she has a crush – and found him and Roxanne making out. She left silently, but later confronted Roxanne and told her she (Patty) was no longer going to take her (Roxanne’s) advice.
It turns out that Henry’s new store is very close to Jack’s store – they’re going to be competitors.
