Should be a lot of crazies in Miami, I’d imagine. I hope we get a few good ones, though. I’ve only gotten chills once or twice so far during this audition season–last year and the year before I was getting that once an episode!
Good Lord. That first girl was terrible. Who TELLS these people they sing well? :dubious:
Yuck. That Robbie guy was supposed to be a “rocker”? Bland boring boy band blech.
Yeah, someone should tell Robbie that rock stars don’t do the boy band thing with their hands.
The first girl…how did she win all those awards?
He was cute. The only thing that’ll mess it up is if, when he takes off his hat, he’s got stringy, greasy hair.
Is Paula drunk?
Latin lover was craptacular.
Venezualian Guy is creepy looking. I don’t know why, but he almost scares me. If he came running up to kiss me, I’d tase him.
She’s loud – “belting it out” is a sure win in those amateur contests, I think.
I think the first girl that sang was better. Hmph.
Both of those girls were pretty good. The problem is, there’s only room for one big girl in the finals (and have they ever picked a big white girl?), so they’ll probably split them up for drama if they make it that far.
…and old. 27? Really?
Especially when you’re young – wasn’t her big prize from age 7-8? I bet she sounded about the same then as she does now.
I like Ramiel. As a bonus, her dad is too cute, and no sob story.
She was absolutely adorable, wasn’t she.
Did the teaser into commercial mention a girl named Sideshow? I only sort of heard it.
Drunk Pauler AND hung-over, on-the-rag Simon. Everything I love about audition shows.
Sideshow was Syesha, apparently, which either pronounces the E or doesn’t, depending on who is saying it–and that includes both the girl and her own father.
Syesha is stunningly beautiful but not very good.
Syesha:
I’m trying to decide if I really do think that song was more loud than good, or if I’m just not liking her for saying her own positive thinking is responsible for “attracting” good things to happen to her. I hate that Secret self-flattering stuff.
ETA: Drain Bead, glad to see you heard it as not-so-good too.
I think she was okay, but not as good as she thinks she is. Especially when she hit the high notes.
GAAAAHH. Hot pink lipstick. And she’s ruining one of my favorite songs.
