I have a feeling this is a stupid question, but please fight my ignorance. I’m going to be in Canada for the next two weeks. Can I still watch AI?
Will you have access to American television? I was able to watch AI when I went on vacation to Mexico once. So it’s possible. If not: check back here for updates and heckling!
I almost peed myself and must have scared my neighbors, because I haven’t laughed that hard since Jim Carrey’s Vanilla Ice on In Living Color (“Kick It” and his high top flies off; “I’m a little teapot, shawt and stout…”) or Jason Priestley narrating the SNL where the figure skater wipes out and slides across the ice on his stomach, or the SNL free-range chickens LiveAid-type ensemble song with Chris Farley as Carnie Wilson.
Ok, so I don’t have to start that thread about funniest TV moments evah now.
Holy crap I found that funny.
Oh, and Simon’s reactions are priceless. When he told Cher-boy to go ahead, and was looking down at his paper, and then with the first note his head and shoulders just fall (dammit, not another one) it cracked me up. And who told him to start qualifying his comments with “I’m not trying to be rude, but…”? Has he always said that, because his unapologetic comments are what it’s all about.
The twin getting through reveals what garbage this show is. She’s Idol material because her looks are marketable, period. The three-headed monster is just looking for the next Britney Spears or Jessica Simpson–the next marketable commodity–they’re not interested in talent at all.
It always used to be, “If I’m being honest …” I loved that. In fact, I now say it myself quite often.
I had a job interview this afternoon and now that that’s all over with, I can concentrate on what’s truly important. I simply can’t wait for tonight’s show! Hoo-ray for Hollywood! Plus there’s a new Lost! Yay!
I hope we get to hear Paris tonight.
Yes, but you will have to either pedal very hard to get electricity or shovel coal on a regular basis in the box that show pictures.
Kellie Pickler. Oh, wonderful. I didn’t have enough treacle with my dinner.
I thought Kelly was genuine and sweet. Too bad I hate country. I wouldn’t mind listening to that dark haired kid a few times.
That’s very important at this stage, watching who will make me want to puncture my ear drums and wonder how anybody could like that singing.
Yeah, the crying gets on my nerves.
detop, I hope I didn’t offend you!
Aww, the ones with the big egos went home… Why?
I thought the criminal twins stunk tonight.
Bah, except not Laryngitis Girl. I’m through with her.
I’m not sure whether the editors were going for pitiable or egomaniacal with her segment. Surely they couldn’t be presenting an image that had more than one dimension, could they?
We’re in here.
Aw, the Littlest Cowboy.
Now I feel bad, he really is a midget! Ooops. He sucked too. Maybe I just don’t like guys in cowboy hats.
No you didn’t I was just playing with the usual stereotype of supposed Canadian backwardness. BTW, Canadian Idol auditions will start next week, for broadcast this summer.
Just watched this ep and my biggest disappointment was Holly, the “old fashioned” sounding girl not getting in. She was lovely! Genuine and original and…well, lovely! I hope she is one of the singers they pick last minute.
