American idol 4/27 to 4/28

I enjoyed Casey’s sing-out–he was such a bundle of energy and kept on smiling.

Casey’s performance didn’t really do it for me, and that vocal coach guy was right about the growling and grunting being too much. But dude, Jacob sounds horrible. His voice…I just can’t listen to it.

I think Jacob could become a good singer - with a vocal coach with an iron fist who doesn’t let him do all the irritating things that he does.

I just dont understand the Jacob hating. The guy has an amazing voice. I agree that maybe this competition isnt for him… but I dont understand denying his talent.

That being said, I was suprised that he didnt go home, and wouldnt have been that sad if he did… because I think his spark has fizzled in the past two weeks. I’d like to see him find his way again.

I would have preferred to see Haley or Scotty go. Haley is talented, but I cannot stand her when she isnt singing. Scotty I love, and I loved his perfomance on Wednesday, but I just feel like we’ve seen all his cards. I do think he has a bright bright future in country music tho.

If James doesnt win the whole thing, i’d be SHOCKED. The guy is a powerhouse.

I like James for the first time this week. He did an amazing job with his song. Still don’t want to see him win, though.

Just read that Kara DioGuardi article. I am almost certain that the contestant that they wanted to keep but the producers cut was Angela Martin, the one with the disabled child whose father was murdered and mom went missing. She made Hollywood several times but never made it past, and that was her last year of eligibility.

James has eclipsed Casey as my favorite over the last few weeks. He’s also the only one I’d possibly buy an album from.

The rest are just ho-hum… Jacob reminded my of Eeyore last week, and a cracked-out PeeWee Herman this week. His stylist is doing him no favors.

Scroll up, RGB. It’s in post 17.

He can technically carry a tune (mostly - sometimes I think he’s not really on the note), but he screeches when he should be singing, he has no touch at all, and his performances are all exactly the same. And that’s without touching on how creepy he comes across. He might be very successful as a gospel singer (as long as he can resolve what I believe is his closeted homosexuality).

Is he not openly gay? Wow. He’s a little full of himself, too.

He was hitting on a woman when they did the TMZ show (which was really awkward to watch, too). It looked like textbook overcompensation.
