Why do they keep putting through such weak beer? That was way too yodelly and nasal and it was a horrible song. Is this really the best they can do?
I don’t know, I tuned out. There was something about a brother in there too. No matter. She’ll be gone with the first cut.
The thing about the sob stories is that most of the time they aren’t really sob stories. They were like oh, she wants to be re-united with her dad, so I thought they’d been seperated or something when she was a kid, but it turns out she just argued a lot with her dad and moved out to live with her grandmother. :rolleyes:
I had hopes for the “rocker” for a second but his hair looks stupid and he pussified the song too much. Too slow on the tempo.
Have I mentioned lately how much I love drunk Pauler? More shots of her rolling her eyes up into her head, please.
I think that was the acoustic version, which has a tempo very similar to what he sang, IIRC…

Homecoming Queen sounded pretty good and doesn’t seem like a douche. I guess I’ll root for him.

I liked a larger portion of the people from Omaha than any other city. Forgetful One, Sob Story Girl, Nora Jones and Homecoming Queen.
Plus plenty of eye rolling, table humping, touchdown calling Paula. Best show so far!
I liked the tone in his voice on the low notes.

I missed all but the last 14 minutes thanks to a power outage. That having been said, rocker boy and homecoming queen showed promise.

My favorites this season are, Homecoming Queen, Sick daughter - cute girl and Single dad.
I thought it was a very good night. It surprised me. A few were very good. I loved the first country singer they had. Her voice sounded very much like Dolly Parton to me. (Yes, Dio, I know you hate it. Sorry.) A couple of the guys were good as well. On the whole, I’d say Omaha represented quite well.
As long as Carrie Underwood continues to sell a bazillion records, we’ll probably keep seeing Carrie Wannabes getting waved through to Hollywood.
I’m usually the last one to notice that Paula may be a bit “under the weather”…but jeez. Plane delayed? :rolleyes: Or too hung over to get out of bed?
