American Idol auditions 1/29

You mean Bride of Meatloaf?

Seconded.

Homecoming queen is interesting. They haven’t had an OPENLY gay guy make it through ever, have they?

I liked the rocker, enough. I thought he had a good modern-rock voice. Nothing special, but I bet he nails a couple.

This was the best audition ep I’ve seen so far, but I only watch on Tuesdays.

Yeah, doped-up Paula finally made an appearance. Her limbs and torso were all over the place at one point. She dropped a couple ,“yesh”'s. Good stuff.

More Pain-killer Paula, please.

The gay guy? Are you talking about the first guy, who’s getting the local news gig? Because he didn’t make it. He got three “no” votes. (And he was awful.)

Nobody really exciting in this audition. Moving along.

The last guy. Or close to last. He said his momma always knew she’d raise a homecoming queen, she just thought it would be a girl.

I like when Paula burped or hiccuped or whatever the hell it was, and Simon called her a ‘disgusting pig’.

I’ve never been one to notice the ‘drunk Paula’ thing, but last night she looked like she was about one drink away from needing a stretcher.

I dunno, I still like the bronc-bustin’ martial arts blonde from the first audition.

She could sing, too.

They seemed to show more “golden ticket” winners in this episode. In the end, they only found 19 total. I’m positive some other auditions pulled more than 20 “winners”.

I would guess that this has more to do with a lack of loonies than an overall increase of quality.

Oh, yes, she was indeed memorably hot. But faux Norah - to me, intoxicating.

True, true. They’re both enchanting, in their own uniquely enchanting ways. It’s too bad I’ll never see either one again, as I only watch the audition episodes for the melt-downs.

As Biggirl said, the guy right at the end. Homecoming queen.

That guy you’re talking about was terrible, and while he was Gay as Clay, it wasn’t made explicit.

I guess I missed it, then. He seemed perfectly averagely ordinary to me. I vaguely remember the homecoming queen thing, but I could have sworn he mentioned his sister or something. […shrug…] Well, whatever kind of plumbing he likes, I thought he could really blow.

Well - it appears our fair faux Norah is a bit of a ringer.

…I still like her.
