I think Randy and Paula just want it to be the two men in the final. My wife and I can not believe Taylor gets these positive reviews. He sucks!

So far, everyone has been boringly okay. Not great. Not terrible. Just meh.
I’m not paying attention to the performances… I want to see if they give out horrific songs so that they can botch them up.
Kat apparently didn’t do good with Clive’s song choice, and Randy told her. Paula couldn’t quite diss her, and Simon defended her.
Is Simon giving Kat a backhanded compliment with the song choice?

Elliott’s first two songs were hard to judge. I think he sang beautifully but I don’t like either song, so that makes it hard to like. I hope he does well in song 3.
Kat’s first song was very blah. Nothing really bad, but nothing to jump and shout about. She sure looked gorgeous though. Over the Rainbow was just awesome. Best performance ever.
Taylor’s first song was not that good. He sounded kinda hoarse or strainy. His second song he looks so uncomfortable singing! I hate the way he hunches over and tightens his knees up. I’m not impressed with him at all.
Can’t wiat for their own choices!

Wow, Kat sung a song without grinning! I actually liked it! Maybe I should always watch her with my eyes closed. Her mannerisms in the first song made me want to shoot my TV.
Hmm…I think I should have said sang instead of sung above. But is it swam or swum?
I am bummed that Taylor didn’t do the voice-crack at the end. And I just can’t take that song seriously ever since something I heard on This American Life…Ira Glass (I think) calling that song the “backhanded compliment” song. It starts off so nicely, “You are so beautiful”…then a pause…“well, to me, anyway”. 
So I wasn’t the only one who thought Taylor didn’t look too happy singing the second song…
Sadly, I agree with Simon about Elliot.
Back on the hate wagon. You CANNOT sing “I ain’t got nuttin but the blues” and smile.
