That’s been a thing as long as I can remember, but it’s almost always confined to a certain age group- around 8-12yo girls, or those that function around that age emotionally if not chronologically.

I believe it’s supposed to symbolize the Sophia’s Heart Foundation that Danny started in his wife’s (who died while undergoing surgery for a heart defect) honor. It’s got a fairly vague purpose of “helping children,” but heck, it does make it harder to snark at the guy. I mean, how many people start charitable foundations? I guess I’m feeling somewhat charitable myself since he’s DONE singing on my TV (until the inevitable, horrible, no-good, very bad, Part II finale group number next Wednesday).

That was a very strong final 3. Any one of them would deserve to be American Idol.
Kris is cool and quietly sexy, I like that about him. He’s got a lot of talent too. He can be more of a pop idol than Adam.
Adam is big and bold, in your face, yet he is remarkably serious when it comes to music. Everything is planned and worked out carefully. He’s very charismatic and has a helluva voice. I find him more of a rock singer or even musical theatre, Vegas show types. Reminds me (physically) and presence-wise of Elvis.
Ah. Relief. Kris did look surprised when Ryan hit him in the chest while saying he would be through to next week.

I’m starting to wonder if the sandbagging of Kris by the judges was part of the plan all along. But they’re not that smart, right?
I feel I did my part. Note this exchange with my boyfriend this evening:
BF: So I checked our iPhone account online. Since the beginning of the month I’ve had 32 texts.
Me: Okay. How many did I have?
BF: One thousand nine hundred and sixty four.
Me: That sounds about right.
(note: normally, he far, far exceeds me in texts)

The downside is that I’m not sure I’ll actually be able to vote next week. We’ve been splitting them pretty evenly between Adam and Kris (and formerly Allison) around here. It seems strange to be going into the final and not really care all that much who wins.
I’m just amazed at how far Kris has come this season from Man in the Mirror. I couldn’t understand how he made it to the top 13, but now I’ll be content if he wins the whole thing.
Bah – cheap attention whoring. Ostentatious, grandstanding. Easy to do when you have a naional forum. Also probably a scam. He probably spends the money on hookers and blow. Plus, I’m still not convinced he ever even really had a wife. I think he made her up to get on the on the show.

It’s not really a foundation. It’s a website. A foundation is endowed, I.E., it’s a grant-giving organization. Anyone can set up a website asking people to give money. It shows how half-assed the site is that they don’t even know they aren’t a foundation.
Also, the education section lauds the No Child Left Behind Act.
