I have to go home in 1.5hrs and pack for a week’s holiday. You could come and help, or at least distract the cats so I don’t keep having to take Ophelia out of my suitcase.
I was tired last night so I was good & went to bed early. Then I got a ping 1½ hrs later which woke me up & started a conversation back & forth. Of course, I wasn’t tired to go back to sleep after a nice nap so I was up quite a while & I’m worse today. :smack:
Only if you’ll put me in one of the suitcases. I wanna go away, too!

Actually I should be getting ready for my own holiday next week. Camping for 6 days/5 nights among 400 to 600 other happy Pagans! Tent needs airing, laundry needs doing, food shopping needs to happen, gear needs sorting and organizing…
Fabulous! I was nearly camping this coming weekend, there was a music festival I had my eye on but given the British weather (and the fact it’s cold, windy and currently bucketing down outside), I opted to go east instead.
Spidey, you’re welcome to come along, but by the time you get here, you’ll have to go halfway back again! And legend has it, there’s a 7’ spider in my friends’ garden. I am sure it wasn’t really that big when it abseiled down from the porch to land on the table in front of us but they are quite sure it is a whopper.
Does the spider have a pointy stick? This could be the start of an epidemic. :eek:

If it doesn’t have one now, it will definitely have one and know how to use it by the time I leave! In fact, I might have to bring it back with me, there are exams that I have to look after when I get home again and a large spidey with a big stick could be just the thing I need.

Today is laundry day and get walked by hell-pup day, but not pizza day because we had that yesterday.
I think we are going grocery shopping.
I have to call the board of elections because somebody told them I moved. I may call the post office as well because for some time I haven’t been receiving all my mail.
Then on to IRK! Which has been irksome lately.
Up and had a nice chat with my mother, something I don’t get to do too often in spite of us living in the same house.

FYI, welding and grinding without long sleeves will leave hundreds of little burn scabs all over your arms and any other unprotected areas of your body. I have learned this the hard way.

Big Deal Biannual Inspection starts tonight. Everyone is running around like headless chickens. Also some kid made a threat to another kid on Facebook and the high school was on lockdown only now it’s not and they keep calling and I just don’t care. Called the Board of Elections and it seems that some mail they sent me and my mother was returned marked that we don’t live here.
So I filed a complaint with the Post Office because I have been missing quite a bit of mail. I suspected the HFH was intercepting and snooping because she has openly opened and read my mail in the past under the excuse of Mom thought it was junk mail and was going to throw it away and I thought I’d better open it to make sure it wasn’t important..
Well the complaint has been filed and if whoever is doing it gets caught, whatever happens to them is not my problem anymore.
So my initials are TS and the hfh is BS.
Mom always called us Tough Shit and Bull Shit.
She sure called the BullShit one right.

Getting ready to set up coq au vin for dindin tonight. 'Tis a yummy dish, but takes a bit of prep before going in the oven. I try to de-skinify the chicken pieces quite a bit so as the final product doesn’t wind up overly fatty. Still comes out fine, just a teeny bit healthier.

I don’t know how cheap you’re trying to buy, but there are some little houses in Indian Head, MD for pretty cheap, and with the added bonus that you’d be lots closer to **BBBobbio **and me.

Bulbs are planted, poison in the front has been sprayed, but there’s more poison on the side - I’ll get that later. I may go out and dig up some iris for planting tomorrow. Depends on how motivated I feel in the next hour or so. The answer right now is “not very.”

Well, that was, um fun? Sweaty, anyway. I just dug up 3 or 4 dozen iris to be planted out front tomorrow. I have no idea what colors they are because none of them bloomed in the woods. I doubt that they’ll bloom this year, since iris are blooming right now. But next year, they should be purdy!
And I learned that I should have hooked the cart to the mower - it was a slight uphill to get to the house and the cart was heavily laden with pots of iris and dirt. Next time, I’ll know!
I think we’ll be having shrimp for supper because it’s quick and easy. Not sure what sides, but I’ll figure something out. When I’m rested. Whew.
