The reason I am moving.
The problem is not being able to get a mortgage for under $75,000.
The houses I’m looking at and like are in the 50’s.
I am calling the mortgage broker today although I probably won’t get him until tomorrow.
The house i could afford to pay cash for sold before I could even look at it
I feel like everyone is dragging their feet so I’m going to have to push.
I’m still looking in Hagertown and Funkstown (wouldn’t it be cool to live in Funkytown?), but the OAOASO wants to work things out and I’m trying to move closer to him although lately I don’t care anymore.
$50K for a whole house? You couldn’t even get a studio condo for that around here!

It’s like a slow trickle, so I don’t know. It is def not pee, I have peed on myself enough this pregnancy to know the difference. I don’t want to go to the Hospital unless I am absolutely sure. With the twins I was in the hospital bed when my water broke and it was unmistakable, so I am so unsure right now what is going on. It’s clear and unremarkable, so I am not sure. Ergh, frustration.
It appears our coral banded shrimp is a meanie. We’ve lost another fish - the 6-line wrasse. **FCD **did some research and found out that our shrimp is exceptionally large, and when they get that big, they’re likely to be aggressive and grab little fish. We know he grabbed one of the little chromis, and since there’s no trace of the wrasse, we’re pretty sure that got grabbed, too. And the wrasse was a $30 fish!!! Stoopit shrimp.
Speaking of shrimp, we’re having scampi over pasta shells for supper. I’ve got the shrimps all peeled, and it’s only going to take 10 minutes or so to make supper. So I have time to chill.
Apes, I did a quick google, and it said, as you might expect, check with your doctor. It might be nothing, but sometimes, the water comes in a trickle, not a flood. One thing I do remember - once the water breaks, it’s important to get the kid OUT! So call your doctor for your peace of mind and the baby’s safety.

At least wave the scampi pointedly in front of the tank, and make ‘I’m watching you’ gestures at the offending crustacean… He needs to buy his own fish dinners.
Soggy grey and dull day today- hope it cheers up soon, I don’t cope well with miserable weather, and I have things to plant, and stuff to grow.
Went allll the way across town to get some grey felting wool, as I was out. Got back, realised I’m almost out of white too :smack:

No, the predator shrimp was not part of the scampi. But he’s on “The List”, so there’s that. The scampi was good. The sides were leftovers - yay for getting 2 more containers out of the fridge. Thus endeth my day. Except for getting a shower. And knitting. And watching some TV. And tidying the kitchen. But other than that, I’m done for the day!

I looked at one house for 49,900 and except for a few little cosmetic fixes it was ready to move in.
I looked at a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house that needed a bit of work for 29,000.
The kitchen and baths were new, but the rest of the house needed work.
Too much for me to pay cash, but not enough to get a mortgage.
Go 10 miles or so down to Frederick and the prices jump right back up.
Around here, $50,000 wouldn’t get you a building lot.
I’ve heard it’s a problem in parts of the country where housing is cheap. Nobody wants to do a mortgage under $75,000.
Some won’t go under $100,000.
