I just washed my dishwasher…& my dishwasher washer.
Yep, the shower’s clean now.
We always named the pigs on my uncle’s farm. I still had no problem chowin’ down on the bacon, ham and poke chops. Also never had problems chowin’ down on roast of Bessie. We didn’t name the chikins cause well, chikins is stoopid and there were a lot of 'em.
Irk is bein’ particularly irksome.
Good news and bad news.
Good news: My co-worker brought me a great big bunch of lily of the valley from her garden and now my office smells wonderful!
Bad news: I bought two pots of coral bells last week and had them sitting by my garage awaiting planting. I came out this morning to discover that a #$%^&@!*# groundhog had eaten one of them.
Well, I sure hope Apes has gone to the hospital. Once the water breaks, the baby is no longer in an antiseptic environment. Sepsis can set in, and that’s very bad.
Jim, Happy B-day!
Emily, you play bass clarinet? I played bass clarinet all through high school! His name was Thor. I wish I had a bass clarinet to call my own, but those things are both rare and expensive. Take a decongestant and play some for me.
Happy Hump Day!
Happy Birthday Jim!
I see the warm weather is coming back!
It looks like rain though.
Doggio I am doin just fine, thanks for asking
Flytrap tell us something we don’t know.
One never buys a crack house, you squat in them.
Jynx I never wear white, it’s a stain magnet. It started when I had a horse. It never failed, if I wore a white shirt I’d get thrown and I’d never get the mud/grass stains out.
Have to get ready for irk.
Then I get to be walked by hell-pup.
Happy Jim day!
We have an actual glowy ball of hot in the sky, after a soggy morning, so I think I shall head out and do some gardenin’. I might actually get around to building the raised bed I’ve been going to do for the last 6 months. Maybe. I could cut the grass too, while it’s not actually raining… Not sure how long the wet’ll hold off for though.
Whew - that was a scare! I was sorting thru a pile of papers that has been accumulating longer than I thought, and I came across a notification from the state about applying for Homestead Eligibility that was supposed to have been done by the end of 2012.   So I went to the website, and it turns out the Governor extended the deadline to Dec 2013, so I’m good. YAY!! I just filled out the application and saved the confirmation notice. Last thing I needed was a higher tax bill…
Back to sorting the rest of the papers. I really need to do something about my filing system, or lack thereof.
I can neither confirm nor deny that. But it is a pretty run-down part of town that is trying to become more genteel.
And Happy Birthday Jim!!!
Well, that didn’t go as planned. I had to dig thru piles of papers to find some info for **FCD **that I had to scan and send to him at work. In the process, I threw a lot of crap away, so yay. But while I was messing with all of that, rain moved it. I can’t work in the yard now. And I am really bummed - there are several dozen iris that need to go into the ground and I can’t do it just yet. If it rains too much, I won’t be able to put them where I want them because of wet, slippery clay on the hill. I am not amused at the moment.
Plus there’s no chocolate at hand! Egads!!
Is the banded coral shrimp banished to the sump, Fairychat?
Thanks everybody, getting older kinda sucks but it sure beats the alternative, dirt napping
Need more caffeine, buddy came over last night and brought Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban, very good Scotch but my mouth feels like a good portion of the Swedish Army marched through my mouth in their stocking feet.
I am hoping that Apelet shares a Birthday with me, not for myself but for Apes sake. I am sure she is ready.
That’s all I have for now
Cheers all
Jim
**flytrap **- the shrimp is still living in the big tank, but he’s on The List and we’ll be careful to buy bigger fish in the future.
I decided to brave the raindrops and plant my iris. Honestly, I got more wet from sweating than from what little precip fell. The planting is done and that’s what counts.
Now to post pics and an ad for the two stoopit concrete lions that I’ve hated since we moved in. **FCD **didn’t want to sell them, but he finally saw things my way. Yay! I need to figure out what new ones cost so I don’t price these wrong. Off to google…
not at the hospital yet. Leakage stopped and I am still working. I wasn’t about to risk another false alarm and get sent home again. I have an appt Friday so we will see if anything is happening then.
Afternoon blurf.
Squeeze that puppy out, Apes!
FCM, I’d buy some peel n’ eat shrimp, and eat it in front of the aquarium. It would be a crustacean version of a horse head in the bed.
Good morning everyone. I am taking a “mental health” day. I’m tired and I’m sick of work.
Things have been kind of crazy around here and that just adds to the overall tired feeling.
We bought our son an SUV on Saturday. It’s just what he wanted and he is thrilled. I am not thrilled with low balance in my bank account, but he has dependable transportation and it looks really good inside and out. That thing has more bells and whistles than my rig.
My son is on the hunt for a job and I hope he lands one soon. He’s got double rent to pay starting in June and I don’t relish the idea of coming up with money to pay his rent too.
Apes, when I started labor with my daughter, I was “leaking” too. It turns out, I had a pinhole leak. I waited a whole day, and that’s when the real labor began and I had to go in.
I am just going to putter around the house today and take life easy. This weekend will be busy (again) and I need to get stuff done before the weekend.
Happy Birthday** Jim!** We May babies rock!
Lion ad posted. You know those things are ridiculously expensive when new? Cheapest I saw were $250 for the pair, others were over $350 EACH!! Dang… I posted at $90 for the pair - we shall see…
Today’s agenda, with the exception of some minor cooking and one load of laundry, involves snacks and Netflix.
On of my exes has a piranha and I hated than damn fish.
One day I got level with the tank and opened and closed my mouth like I was going to eat him. After that he spazzed out every time I came near the tank, sometimes almost flipping himself out of the tank in his fear.
Ugly damn fish and the ex would buy goldfish that were too big for him so there would be all these half eaten fish swimming around the tank.
I wonder what happened to his fish and dogs after the ex died.
I hated his damn pit bull too.
He had the nicest beagle and a beagle mix, the pit bull killed his beagle.
I should have taken his beagle when I broke up with him, she was the sweetest dog.
He lived in Delaware and I’d drive down to see him on the weekends and every now and then his beagle would take it in her head that she was coming home with me. She’d come and spend the week with me and my dogs and then the next weekend I’d take her home.
He was one of the only exes I stayed friends with after the break up and after the pit bull killed his beagle I couldn’t talk to him anymore. He knew the pit was aggressive, just a nasty dog, and he blamed it on the beagle for getting in the pits way.
His male beagle mix got her and she had 8 puppies.
One day he came home to find a note from animal control and one of the pups missing. He had given four of them away and the other three ganged up on the other puppy and almost killed her.
There’s something wrong with 3 month old puppies that will kill their own litter mates.
Actually doggio and MOOOOOOM it would be better to buy whole shrimp, stand in front of the aquarium, make sure the coral shrimp is watchin, and then dehead and devein the shrimp right in front of him.
ETA: MOOOOOOM if one were bargain huntin’ for concrete lions they’d think they’d hit the jackpot what with the cost bein’ only ninety dollars! Plus they have that distressed look to them that would make folks think they’d had their lions a long time and are not noveau concrete lion owners. What a win-win this will be for some would be concrete lion owner!
Very glad to hear you got rid of this one. There’s something very wrong with this guy, IMO. Serious animal cruelty issues.
