From the “Well, it better!” department, we have signs in the cafeteria. Today was BBQ day, and one of the items is pulled pork. A little sign next to it says “contains pork” perhaps to allay any fears that it may be made of tofu or spaghetti squash.
Amusingly, there’s no “contains peanuts” next to the peanut butter.

Humperday is my Moanday, so off to irk I went, but everything went so well I actually got out early. Plus, The Powers That Be were all in a spring meeting at corp. HQ (that I sent my backup to, in my place, as part of his “training” :D), so absolutely zero chance of seeing any of the pinstripe-and-pointy-shoe set for today, and likely tomorrow as well. Nice.
When I got home early, the Lady sangfroid asked me if I’d roto-till the front garden so’s we could mix in the composted manure she added earlier this week. Don’t till much, as it isn’t often needed or recommended, but every so often (at least here, and with our soil, which is rather sandy) it really helps to mix up the top layer and blend the amendments in. Top-dressing works fine for a few seasons, then we have to till after adding some bulk compost. Veggies usually do very well afterwards.
Tilling still beats irking; YMMV.
I’ve been thinking lately of asking Mumpers what they’re using for anti-virus (and OS) these days, just as a benchmark. Considering switching to MSE (I use a desktop Win7 machine mostly) as folks here at the dope actually had good things to say about it, but the last time I went to the M/S site to try it, I got the equivalent of “sorry, try again later”.
What, Bill, are you guys using a magic eight-ball these days…?

Speaking of motivation; I need to get my butt in gear and get something accomplished around here.
I use Microsoft Security Essentials on the advice of the IT guys at the last place I worked before retirement. I think my temp employer uses it also. I’ve been happy and my computer has stayed clean so far.
Serious lack of motivation here. *Eh *- whaddaya gonna do??
Another vote for MSE. I figure Microsoft knows more about how Windows works than other companies.
I’m in the middle of a fight with Alwil Software regarding Avast! Antivirus, and I will be dumping them as soon as I figure out how to delete the protected files. Unsure of what will replace them/it.
