An Early Santarchiac MMP

I’m up and decaffeinating, we don’t need to get the train down to Lahndahn until 12.45pm so I am reading the Dope while I drink my tea. There’s a possibility I might play on the Wii for an hour before I contemplate anything serious like getting dressed. Don’t panic, I’ve got my jammies on, there’s no need to worry about nekkid sober posting!

We had more rain overnight and now all the snow has gone, which is a great relief. Also, it means I can wear my nice boots today instead of my big stompy ones. See, it takes so little to make me happy.

Have a fun weekend!

Yeah, Edinburgh is wet and windy today, instead of snowy. Gotta go to the library. I hope we do have Monday’s class, we had one with the same teacher on Thursday and she had to cancel because she was sick; knowing her, by the time she reckons she’s too sick to teach, it means she’s too sick to roll out of bed.

Taz is full of piss-n-vinegar this morning. He’s galloping (literally) back and forth thru the house. I’ve been in the basement when he does that - it’s amazing how one cat can sound like a heard of wildebeests…

I’ve got an hour to goof around on line before I need to don some real clothes and get ready for the various folks who are coming over today. I’ll need to get the rest of the fambly moving, too. SIL just left for work, but the other 2 are abed… for now…

And that’s all I’ve got. Thus beginneth my weekend. Happy Saturday!

PS from yesterday - Nooner, you should be ashamed of yourself. Seriously. :stuck_out_tongue:

We had a very energized rehearsal last night and my intent was to get to sleep by midnight - needless to say, that didn’t happen. But I did crawl into bed shortly after my last post. Which brings us to

the Weird Dreamage Report(insert appropriate echo and music here)

The first part consisted of me not being able to get to sleep, so I went to the office at 6am, where they were just winding down from a birthday party. I was handed a piece of cake and I thought “ah, breakfast”. Meanwhile, my director, my former supervisor, and some unidentified twenty-something (who, it turns out was my roommate and quite upset that I could not remember her name) were all in a panic because they knew I’d come home by 10pm but was now no where to be found. The scene then shifted, and I was listening to/watching a men’s quartet. When they started singing “Lida Rose”, they motioned to me to come up on stage, and as luck would have it, I was wearing an early Twentieth Century era dress and hat, and at the appropriate moment I started singing “Dream of Now” in Shirley Jones’ voice. We then sang the songs together and started dancing around the stage, at which point the back of my dress spilt at the waistband, and the skirt part dropped just enough for my fat butt (clothed) to stick out, which some audience member had caught on his Flipster, and immediately posted on YouTube.

or maybe the barbershop part came first and the no sleep part came second . . .

I now return you to your mmp, already in progrress.

Well, I’ve got Monday’s MMP ready to go. Unless I get inspired before then.

Last night musta been weird dream night. I had one that started out with several of us in our boat drifting without engine or sail, but still able to go where we wanted. We were trying to find a place to dock the boat in a restaurant. Then the boat turned into a bicycle. And I woke up. I’m sure there’s deep symbolism and a message for the ages hidden in that cryptic dream. Or I had one too many snickerdoodles last night. Either way.

Whoah. Here’s an email that I just sent to a friend…
*I woke up in a bad mood this morning because of you. ;p
I was driving down the road and all of a sudden I see my car to the side of the road. (So what exactly was I driving? Good question.) Well, I pull over and walk back to my car and some guy comes out of the house where it is parked. He starts telling me that he has repossessed my 1994 with 225,000 miles as payment for a debt of $2000. HA! The debt is either owed by Daughter of Friend O. Mine or Friend O. Mine, it’s not very clear. Either way, it’s obviously guilt by association on my part and I try explaining this to the guy. He actually agrees with me and allows me to take the car. Except just when I start to get in it, I realize that apparently his attempts to repossess it were very difficult and the car has rolled and every single body panel is just absolutely destroyed. At this point I start sobbing and crying and try to figure out what to do. Right after I call my father and he tells me to call the police, I wake up.

So, uh, thanks for nothing and please remember to keep paying your bills in a timely fashion. LOL*

Also, I keep forgetting to comment about that, the most horrible pun of all, made by Noonie. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m up, my son has just left for work, and I’m sipping my first cup of coffee. That’s about all that’s going on at the moment.

My daughter left Thursday night with her boyfriend, but I think she’s coming home today to find out whether she works tomorrow. She gave her two week notice on Thursday. It’ll be interesting to see if they give her any hours now.

It’s pretty foggy out today. Yesterday, all it did was rain. There was wind too. There are flood watches in various counties around here because of the rain.

Strange dreams **rosie **and pie. I was having quite a dream myself before I woke up, but I can’t recall it now. All I know is I woke up with my heart pounding.

I have my own

the Weird Dreamage Report

from the night before last.

I was in a room with some people and a whole bunch of gerbils ran in. They were the President’s gerbils. It was the 1970s–I knew this because there was a lot of paneling on the walls. A couple of the gerbils bit me but they didn’t draw blood as gerbils always do, they just raised blisters.

Then someone got an Arnold Schwartzenegger action figure that was wearing a bathrobe. It was a Terminator toy because one arm was all metal and wires. So we held up the toy by that arm and started punching it with the human-looking arm to see if a Terminator could punch its own arm off. Then the alarm went off.

I don’t even know.

Noonie you have won the Best/Worst Pun of the MMP Award.

You people are weird!

Laundry day at Chez Rebo. w00t.

Ribs for supper, with baked beans and cole slaw.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I’ll be here all week!!

Try your hostess; tip the beef!

Pretty busy Saturday for me – gym, laundry, cooking and getting a new study chair for the twin girl, then assembling it. Still have to go out to the mall to see if our cellphone provider’s booth there can fix her phone which went on the fritz on friday…

Weekend is essentially over… tomorrow it’s back to the grind :frowning:

Evening all. 'tis true , the weekend is indeed over - back to work tomorrow.

I meant to come in yesterday and say …

Happy 2nd Birthday Gnat!!!

No weird dreams for me last night - just a snuffly toddler with a drippy nose who wandered into my bed at 2am and took over the whole kingsize bed (hubby was completely squeezed out and ended up sleeping in HRH’s small twin bed, while I was left with barely a 12-inch strip to sleep on). The snuffles are bad enough that HRH won’t be well enough to go to school tomorrow. Sigh … back to MIL’s for the day!

First contractor has come and gone - he was very impressive. **FCD **is ready to give him all our money. Appraiser has come and gone. He had a very attractive wad of chaw under his upper lip. Oh baby… Second appraiser is going to be an hour late. He made a bad first impression when he gave us a quote for a new roof without ever going on the roof. But I’ll let him quote windows, too, just for comparison.

We have a new clownfish - a tomato clown. It’s red-orange with only one white stripe. He’ll go into the tank shortly.

That’s all I’ve got for now. I have no chocolate. I need some. Someone needs to do something about that. NOW!!!

Howdy Y’all! It’s back to work for Dotty and Special1 but it’s my weekstart. YAAAAAAY!!!

I have had a nappy poo and dindin. Dindin was steak and sallit. Muy yummy!

BooFae I am glad that you are not given to nekkid sober postin’. That’s just disgustin’! Nekkid drunk postin’ is, however, always in good taste.

I am so wired! We had a coaching session with one of the Master Directors of our region. The sound she was able to pull from us was out of this world! - AND I was able to stand on the risers for the two songs of the contest package - so YAY! I will be competing in April!

Introduction of the new fish has been interesting. The other clownfish and the damsel have been picking on him - very nastily! The lionfish was eying him as a snack. Even the tangs were giving him 'tude. But the anthias was acting like his protector! He would chase the bullying fish away and hover around, almost protectively. It was the darndest thing to see!

I hope they’ll all settle down and peace will return to the tank.

Back to my knitting needles…

I had a kinda date today. First one in years. Me and That Guy went hiking on one of the trails on the Blue Ridge Parkway. He bought lunch beforehand and I bought dinner after.

Petercat does not want me to type right now.

Just got back from the store with the fixings for beef stroganoff. Mr. Taters said he was going to “help” me cook it.

That’s about all I got accomplished today.:(:o

Now, though, some friends might be coming over; so I’m going to have rush around and tidy up. So much for my do nothing day. Maybe Monday…I don’t have to work, but hubby does.

Just sneakin’ in to post Good Night Y’all! All of a sudden my body is remindin’ me that, even with a nappy poo for about an hour after work, it has been functionin’ since 3:45 am and is tahred!

Nitey Nite Y’all!

we need constant updates on this one - specifically about when he gets a real residence. YOU BE CAREFUL.

lol, lol, lol.
