An Impatient MMP

Bring as much Baron Rothschild White Zinfindel Kosher for Passover as you can carry.
These darn Baptist legislators won’t let me buy it by mail anymore.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 38 degrees Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 63 and sunny. Should be a nice day. Not much in store as da cave is relatively clean. Maybe some laundry. I may venture to the grocery sto’ if I feel brave enough. I took some steaks outta da freezer last night for dindin. I took out some chikin out for tomorrow’s N.O.L., a beef roast which I shall turn into beast stew or a pot roast and some poke chops as well. Yeah, I’m thinkin’ ahead on dindins for the week.

Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, well, who knows!

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

GAME ON!
Ok, so I’m a little excited about hockey season.

Congrats, rosie!

sari**, maybe your engine is lonely and needs a hug?

off to irk.

I kinda sorta got to sleep in this morning, after waking up at some ridiculous hour to pee. **FCD **tended to the dog, and he’s gone back to bed - no idea how late he stayed up last night. But somewhere along the line, I’ll don painting attire, prep the kitchen, then start the painting. The trick will be keeping the dog and the cat out of the paint tray - yeah, that’s the trick…

I got a $20 check in the mail yesterday - supposedly I overpaid a medical bill back in Sept. I don’t recall, but whatever - twenty bucks!

And that’s about it for now. Happy Saturday!

I’m here. Have I whined yet about having to go to class today?

Not sure what else I’m going to do. Maybe I’ll see if my best friend wants to get together. Her husband is on winter schedule and works two 16 hour days on the weekend so it’s just her and the kids at home.

Or, maybe I’ll just come home and work on forks and stuff.

StickyBuns learn up real good.

MOOOOOOM here’s to the beginnin’ of the massive overhaul of FairyChatEstates. :stuck_out_tongue:

Blurf.

Still cold- hoping we get a bit of a thaw later, I’m supposed to be going to another, much bigger and more fun wassail at the beekeeping group tomorrow, and it might not be on if there’s still much snow around- it’s up a back road that probably won’t be cleared. Fingers crossed!

The mouse that lost her balance, then completely recovered just before Christmas, has started going weird 'n wonky again. She doesn’t like the antibiotics (there’s still some left from last time, as mouse doses are so tiny, and they gave us spare), and none of the other meeces will like being woken up early just so’s she can get her morning dose- and we’ve had two less than a week, so they’re still settling in, and I don’t want to stress them. They all sleep together in a big fuzzy lump though, so there’s not really any way around it.

Good luck with the overhaul mom!

Learn stuff sticky!

I may now be moving to Houston for work - well there is an offer on the table that I am not sure I will take but thanks to some connections I have they managed to do more in 24 hours than the f#%^*#g useless career planning manager that is supposed to plan out moves for people at my level has in 6 months.

In other news it is going to be 65 degrees here today so we will try and get out and get some fresh air this afternoon. Mr ems is currently working out and I am cheering him in/making cheeky comments and I head to Zumba in about 20 mins. Such is life here in OKC

You know what I really like? I like the sing-alongs that invariably break out among my friends when we’re in a bar and “Bohemian Rhapsody” comes on the sound system.

That’s one of those songs everyone has to sing along to. “Sounds of Silence” is another.

Happy Saturday all

That’s all I have for now, it’s a lovely day here in SE TEXAS, sunny and mild. I shall go for a motorcycle ride in a bit.

Jim

Been a lazyish day here at da cave. I did make it to the sto’ for some stuff. Got a nice spinach sallit made for dindin tonight. Steaks are marinatin’ for tonight as well. Whilst I was at the sto’ I got some shrimps steamed so dindin shall be steak 'n shrimps, wild rice, sallit and cheesey bread. I also have chikin boobs with carrots and N.O.T. in the slow cooker for N.O.L. tomorrow. Oh and two loads of laundry are washed, dried and put away. Plus a nappy poo has been had.

All in all, not a bad day. Mayhaps cocktail time shall be soon.

Grr. I am never doing major shopping on a Saturday again if I can help it. Too many people everywhere. I think I’ll play with the pretty new yarn I got to make the grr go away.

Good morning. I slept until 3 and staying in bed until 4. felt good.

Correction: Game IS on (TV).
Though, it’s hard to watch the puck with a speck of dirt on the screen. Man, I need to stand up???

I’ll watch on TV, but won’t spend to go to a game for a while; they have to earn my back.

I envy you.

I just woke up from a nap. It was nice, mostly, except for the dogs barking at my dad trimming the pine tree out front.

Dindin is et. We’s stuffded! Really good though. Plus there’s chawklit ice cream with little chunks of brownie for later! YAY!!!

This has been one crazy day. We started out with breakfast and a trip to get another ton of pellets for the stove. When we got home, we started masking the kitchen and pulled the stove out, then I realized I didn’t have any roller covers. I always have roller covers. Except today. So we went to Arby’s for a sammich, bought rollers, then drove to a carwash to rinse the road crud off the Sonata.

After we got home, **FCD **started cutting in the edges and I started painting. We’ve got the first coat on 5/6 of the room - we still need to pull the fridge out plus do over the cabinets above the stove and fridge. In a couple of hours, I’ll do a second coat behind the stove, then we’ll move it back where it lives, and that little bit will be done.

The color is showing a bit light, but it’s just one coat over an almost white base, so it’ll definitely need a second coat. I think I like it, but we’ve got all the counters covered with newspaper, so it’s hard to tell what the whole effect is. I figure if nothing else, it’s a dark base for a darker color. We’ll live with it for a week then see.

I’ve pretty much decided I’m taking Monday off - there’s just not enough work to keep me fully occupied at the moment. So I’ll make a trash run and do laundry, and maybe start touching up the white woodwork. Our baseboards have been in bad shape in some spots - like where the dog’s water sits. Dogs are sloppy drinkers…

Anyway, just another glorious day in paradise.

I get the 25 year old master tape tonight, turns out it has 2 1/2 albums on it. I yapped about this a few weeks ago but this is the first set of recordings I played on with my first real band. I am sure we were terrible and very eighties sounding but I think it’s cool. Now I have to find a 1/2 inch tape machine that works.
