I’ll be rolling a character tonight. I’m looking at the armory and I only see a Burning Dog Legion guild on Thunderhorn. I thought you were joining Cairne. Which realm is it again?
It’s definitely on Cairne, the armory is probably not up to date or something.
The armory updates on server resets on Tuesday and doesn’t display characters below lvl 10.
Is there any way to transfer or mail money or items between servers? I’d like to repay bags with linen, but it’s on my other character, another server.
No, thank god. Server economies would be so screwed.
I’m very close to being able to tailor bags; I need 3 or 4 more skill levels which I will get in my next session. So I’d be glad to make some for anyone who wants to send me some linen (mail to Kene).
Yeah, Chiela has been making and sending linen bags, and now it can be Kene’s turn - Chiela is getting to the end of the skill she can make on them.
Shadow Priest FTW. Plus your casters will love, love, love, love you after level 40.
One of my small chars is a Sholy Priest: since I don’t plan on using her for raiding and the most common healing spell in 5-man instances is Renew, I got those 5 talent points and the rest is going into Shadow. She can heal instances her level like nobody’s business (I even have some +heal items), then melt faces during solo or if someone else wants to heal.
We still need to get and pay for a separate US account 
I think the main reason for seeing Europeans on American servers is that the EU release was later, so some people went for the US version to get into it sooner.
And as I said before, don’t worry about ‘too many healers’. There isn’t a class in the game that can’t kick ass at DPS nowadays if they spec for it–even paladins.
I was able to log in for a little while today and got the linen bag recipe, so I’m all set. I also leveled up to 20 on fishing

Are we in need of any particular classes and/or professions? I’m going to roll 2 toons anyway (I always make a mule) so they can be whatever we need. Except shammys. I hate playing shammys.
I think we’re fairly well covered for classes and professions (too bad the Armory is slow or you could check easily), so do what’s fun for yourself first. Once you’re in and can see the guild roster directly, you’re welcome to make an alt. We’re having everyone put their SDMB name and professions in their guild notes, so it’s easy to check.

So I’ve realized that I hate the PvE Cairne and the terrible players who rolled on it, so someone needs to take over whatever it is I do as the de facto guild leader.

I’ve noticed a high percentage of “Bush is teh suxxors!!!1” in General Chat, but I’ve been pretty free with the Ignore button. Your area might be worse than mine also. But I hate to see you give up after only a few days!
I interpreted his post to mean he needs a little break until things reach equilibrium or he won’t be playing as much (inanity tolerence per hour) so he needs someone tot ake over because of this.

Just a thought folks, but I don’t think we should require our Doper names in the character notes. I’ve been happy to post my character name in this thread, but I’d like my Doper name to remain at SDMB, and not available to real life friends and family who happen to be on WOW. I like thinking of guildies in WOW terms, moreso than Doper terms, anyway.
I’m a hopeless and unrepentant misanthrope who usually soloes everything. And yet I created toons on Cairne…

We had a pretty good crowd last night, considering everyone who was in & out over the few hours I was there. I think there was going to be an effort to get some dungeon parties together this weekend.
