Howdy Y’all! Luteran style deheathenization and N.O.L. have been achieved. Bein’ ever the gourmets, we went to Booger King and got Whoppers and fries cause we had a coupon. Anywho, 'tis a very nice 74 Amurrkin out and sunny. I could go outside. Or take a nap. Or go outside and take a nap. Or, just really what I want to do, which is go in the bedroom and take a nap. Life it tough when one has so many choices!
As did I. Do you suppose that she edited it? :dubious:
**doggio **- I am a pure joy first thing in the morning - being a morning person and all that. So
Nighttime finds me yawning and occasionally cranky, altho not too much, since I’m nice, dammit!

Still raining. Wish I could box some up and send it south to those who need it. I got a day off and I’m going to spend most of it watching football. (OK - there are worse things.)
Looks like two of my friends have gotten into a big argument on Facebook. If I hadn’t had lunch a short while ago, I’d be tempted to break out some popcorn.
My sister and I went on a day trip to Ottawa yesterday. It was nice, though rainy. And getting stuck on the bus near Hallucinating Gum Lady wasn’t much fun. Still, at least we got lots of neat stuff.
I went back to sleep after I posted. I still haven’t gotten out of bed.
It stopped raining, the sun is shining and a nice breeze is coming in the windows.
I took a nap earlier, I don’t know why I’m so tired.
I wish FB was entertaining for me right now, it’s been annoying. One of my friends has been doing the countdown to Halloween since mid-August. Then when we talk she wants to know if I saw her Halloween posts. I always want to say ‘unfortunately’.
ok. now, I’m out of bed
It just started raining really hard here. Darn, now I probably can’t play my computer games, because there might be a thunderstorm and you’re not supposed to use computers during a thunderstorm - reason #935 of why I hate thunderstorms.
I am out of bed and have also fed and dissasembled creatures.
I am not a morning person. But my nice, sweet, lovely husband is making coffee. Yay for coffee.
Tomorrow boy child starts at his new school. Fingers and toes crossed.
Still cloudy today. Sun never even came out yesterday and there were rain showers in the area.
More coffee must be had.
Lazy afternoon - I’ve started joining squares together. Got a hunk of smoke poke roast thawing for supper. Beyond that, I’m not doing anything.
If you live in an area with underground cables (no wires on poles for the birds to sit on) you’ll be fine
My internet went out again. The power must have blinked when I wasn’t looking.
Skimmed, retained nothing.
I went up a mountain today and when I came down I went to the Farmer’s Market where I remembered the name of the apples I liked so much last year. They’re called Cameos and I have a half-peck of them sitting on the dehumidifier as we speak. Next week I’ll drop another $5 for another half-peck. And maybe I’ll get some Gingergolds too and see if those were the little yellow apples Southern Grandpa used to grow.
Skipped deheathenation in favor of convalescence. Must do homework today, since it’s due tonight.
Sinuses aren’t supposed to crackle, are they?
And since when does USPS have Sunday delivery?
Crackling sinuses probably not good.
USPS has added Sunday delivery for big customers, like Amazon. I think they may also offer it to Jill Public for a fee, but haven’t paid that much attention. It is kind of fun getting packages on Sunday.
We have quite a few wires and poles around. (You can tell, I’m not very knowledgeable or sophisticated when it comes to technology.)
several months now, but only for packages and overnight letters
Just talked to my mom - she’s ready to go. My BIL is taking her and her traveling companion to Dulles tomorrow morning, and they’ll ultimately arrive in Copenhagen at 6AM local tomorrow. They’re going to be exhausted unless they can snooze on the plane. I found the seascanner site where I can follow her trip. I hope they have a good time.
**FCD **is headed out to kill the bastard wasps. I’m about to assume the recline position and continue stitching squares together. Thus endeth the weekend.
MWAH!
This was an Amazon item, so thanks for curing some ignorance. Now if you’ve got a cure for the sinus problem… ![]()
Work was busy. Making skokey ancho poke chops with sweet potatoes and corn with cumin.
Hope the sinuses stop cracking, Nettie.
