((((mmms+family))))
Yawn. The kids had a good night but TomKitten woke up at 4:58, which is inhuman. My goal is to stay awake until I can sucker someone into coming over so I can nap. I have my ultrasound and OB appointment this afternoon, so my normal Gnat’s-gone-I-can-sleep time is busted.
We went out to the Hog Trough (Bad Chinese buffet) for Gnat’s and my Mum’s birthdays. The kids ate way more than we paid for. Unoftunately I think that means Gnat’s blood sugar spiked, in spite of extra insulin. He’s upstairs, still asleep, but wet. I am not waking him up to wash everything before seven.
I don’t know if we’ll make it anywhere this morning, since Gnat has preschool this afternoon, and i have to do a lot of walking. We might stay home and putter. Also, did I mention getting up before five? Argh.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 43 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 71 and rain comin’ in later in the day. My sinuses would like rain.
{{{gt and far away best friend}}} Everyone is in my thoughts and prayers. It’s hard to know what to say when this happens. My younger brother died suddenly almost 10 years ago now at the age of 45.
Now I shall go seek more caffiene and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence.
I’m very excited. It snowed last night. That’s not why I’m excited but it’s the first time since Halloween that we’ve had enough snow to actually cover my lawn and driveway so I felt it was worth mentioning. Gonna give myself 1.5 hours to get to school to be on the safe side.
Schedule today:
Astronomy then Climatology then Chemistry then Ancient Greece
Bringing 2 textbooks just in case I get an assignment I can start and Good Omens in case I don’t.
Have a lovely day everyone!!
Up early cuz I have to go a irk meeting at the OTHER hospital (the one that bought us but it’s called a merger, doncha’ know) and it’s 20 miles away and freezing rain followed by snow was predicted for last night. Fortunately it did neither but I’m still up early.
I hate meetings. Blurfblurfblurf. And I bet there won’t be any fuds.
Hugs to Mmmmms and Mr. Em & family, as well as to GT and FABF & family; you’re in my prayers.
Happy belated birthday to Gnat, aka not-so-tiny Ninja chef!
This afternoon I head to the opthamologist for an eye exam - I’ve been seeing floaters in the eye I had the cataract surgery in; hopefully it’s not something serious. I’m also going to see if I can find out about surgery for the remaining eye. I’m tired of not having depth perception; I have a tendancy to lose balance quite easily, unfortunately.
Hope everyone is holding up okay - hope that the FairyChats are enjoying their cruise too. Happy Tuesday all!
I’ve been busy this morning! And I’ll be busy the rest of the day. This morning a kind stranger helped me out of a bizarre yet frustrating predicament. (The one where I said ‘somebody shoot me now’ last week.) So, yay!
This afternoon I’ve got two classes. I’m going to have to get used to it. I really, really don’t like having more than one class in a day. I also don’t like having to get to school so early. Unfortunately, at this point, I have no other choice. I had thought about dropping a class but it’s too late at this point. So I’ll eventually quit whining about it!
Ok, back to reading about exciting topics such as Multicultural Education. :dubious::dubious:
It’s snowing here right now. Not a lot. About 2 - 3 inches on the ground. Which is good, 'cause I got a moderately large order of soap to be shipped to Colorado and I hafta drive down to McMinnville (~15 mi.) and raid the standing display at the Public Market to fill it.
BTW, just to keep my ‘weird’ quotent up; when I see PTO I think of Power Take Off.
Done with the meeting and I was right. Not only was there no fuds, there was no coffee. For an 8am meeting. Oh, there was SUPPOSED to be coffee, it was ordered, but the kitchen didn’t deliver it. And none of the 40 meeting partcipants, including the person that ordered the coffee, could be bothered to go get the coffee.
Thanks every one we do appreciate the thoughts and prayers. At 11.30 this morning mr ems’s mom passed away. We are headed there now to help his sister take care of all the arrangments. She was tired and her poor body couldn’t take it anymore. We will take all the hugs we can get right now.
