When ya get all excitated because you found an ironin’ board cover and pad at Fred’s for only five bucks, ya know ya need more excitatement in yer life. Just sayin’.
Now I shall iron some more.

Your shirt discovery and ironing adventures are inspiring, swampy.
Am not getting anything done todady. But am considering going out to use my 30% off at Kohl’s and maybe to Whole Foods.
Exciting, huh?
Snow.
That is all.
You can keep your snow. The rain is dreary, but it will not need to be shoveled.
Off to a wedding rehearsal in a bit. Never quite understood them. The bride and groom walk down the aisle, and the officiant says “Will you love honor and cherish her tomorrow?”
Of course, the whole concept of bridesmaids and groomsmen is a bit antiquated as well. I was at a wedding once where there were seven on each side. It took them all longer to walk in than the actual vows and "I do"s took. Although, being a Rennie, I was at a wedding a few years ago where there was a (planned) attack on the groom. The groomsmen were all carrying swords, so that was a bit of a surprise. The other surprise at that wedding was that someone forgot the cake server, so the cake was cut and served with a broadsword.
Memorial service was this morning and it was lovely with a lot of people saying lovely things about momma. Mr ems held up well his mom would have been so proud of him. Then it was lunch catered by the church ladies which was gooooooooood man those ladies can cook.
Good luck with the snow those that have it!
I’m going to tell you this, but you probably won’t believe me. My dad is still in the hospital. And, I am at the er waiting to be seen because as I was heading from my dad’s room to the car, I tripped in some mud and fell on the sidewalk and landed on my knee.
I highly recommend this weekend to everyone.
Ok, StickyBuns y’all just need to stop all this now. Hope the knee is alright and dad is on the mend. And no more of all this nonsense!
mmmmmms sounds like a great memorial service. Plus, you got church lady cookin’! Were there ten different plates of deviled aigs? Sixteen different bowls of N.O.T. sallit? Cakes and pies lined up for miles? Large platters of ham and fried chikin? Casseroles of every shape, size and description? I am a big fan of potluck church lady cookin’.The only problem with it bein’ you got church lades starin’ at you to see which deviled aigs and N.O.T. sallit you’re goin’ for. I’m always afraid I’ll get it wrong so I try for some of every kind.
We has a tornado watch and a tstorm watch. I always wonder if I should go stand outside and stare at the sky cause they are after all watches.
Long as you don’t wind up getting struck by lightning.
I’m glad the service was nice, mmmmmmmmmmmmm. Hugs for the whole family.
Sticky!!! You stop that right now! Hope the knee is OK and dad is out soon.
Decided not to go out. It would require cleaning off the car. Although we don’t have nearly the snow that others do. And, I’m hoping that we don’t get much more any time soon.
Instead, I’ve made cheater’s tuna casserole (boxed mac & cheese + peas + tuna) and am going to finish organizing vacation pics and make a list of everything I need to do tomorrow.
Wonder how the FairyChatCruise is going…
Riotous Saturday night chez GT.
Hugs.

You know, I have to say I am a bit put out that I’m not even mentioned in that MMP sticky thread and I was still here at the time it was made.
Other than that, I got nothing. Hello to all.
Sigh, power went out just before 7:00 am yesterday and didn’t come on until just after 1:00 this afternoon. Thankfully, we had the fireplace to keep us warm. The roads were a disaster with all the downed trees and branches.
We ventured out long enough to pick up some take out yesterday and came home. During the night, we had a windstorm so now I have even more branches in my yard from the big fir tree in the yard behind us. It’s quite the mess.
Tomorrow, we’re supposed to get another windstorm.
The good news is that the snow is finally melting off. Now, we get to contend with a little flooding, but it shouldn’t be severe…I hope.
All in all, we were lucky. We know people that lost their power on Wednesday and it still hasn’t been restored. This is actually the longest power outage we’ve ever had in this house. Usually, it just blinks off and then right back on again.
Finally gettin’ caught up on your lives.
Sticky - please be nice to yourself! No more falling in the snow allowed. I hope you’re ok and that if you’re not, you get a nice settlement from whosever parking lot it was (Sweetie’s aunt put in an in-ground pool with the settlement she got from slipping on ice at a hospital. Of course, it didn’t make up for the aches and pains at the time but the pool was nicely therapeutic).
I’m glad the service was nice mmmmmss and that your hubby held up well.
Swampy - you’re insane! those shirts were hangin’ they don’t need to be ironed!!! Gah, I hate ironing.
The rest of my first week at school went much better than the first day. My second day was short because we had nothing to discuss in our discussion and we just watched a safety video and got assigned lockers and supplies in lab and my second lab wasn’t scheduled. I got home early and Sweetie took me out for lunch, which is when I discovered the loveliness that are beets.
On Thursday I parked legally (even though it took me 25 friggen minutes to walk to my first class from the parking lot) and I managed to make it to my second class in 14 minutes (1 minute to spare!). My third class was good and my 4th was the kind of class I bought a voice recorder for. Too bad the battery was dead.
I got a summons on Thursday. I have to be interrogated on March 14. It seems the estate of the woman who died is suing her husband and his lawyers want me to testify in his behalf! Um, I don’t think so. He was driving like a jackass and in order to avoid hitting ME, he hit someone else and killed his wife. Where in the hell did they get the idea that I’d be able to help him? Oh well, I have been COMMANDED (yes, it really said that) to attend. They even gave me $15 - as if that makes up for the fact that I have to go to Boston…it doesn’t. At least it’s during spring break so I wont miss any school.
Yesterday was a day off so Sweetie and I went out to lunch again and bought beets.
Today I’m doing homework and attempting to make borscht.
Look! It’s rigs! YAY!!! Come back and play.
Taters I was worried y’all had lost power. Glad it wasn’t for too long.
Steak, sallit and cheesey bread for dindin. 'Twas good.
Now it’s rainin’. Ok, it’s severe thunder stormin’ only not so severe. Just a lotta rain fallin’ down.
I’s also tahrd from all that ironin’. shortdrum some were hangin’ up and some were in bags on the closed floor. New shirts always need to be ironed cause they always have weird wrinkles in ‘em. Now I face the huge problem of choosin’ a new shirt to wear for deheathenization tomorrow. How ever shall I decide!
Oh and I have the new MMP all ready to go. Mayhaps it shall appear sometime tomorrow evenin’.
Look fast or you’ll miss me!
My dad is still in the hospital. He’s just waiting for his cat scan results (which unofficially are fine) to be officially read by a doctor.
I’m home. I’m sitting here with a prepackaged frozen daquiri on my knee. It’s only sprained, so that’s good. They gave me something for pain in the hospital and a prescription for home so I’m going to take one of those and mosey off to bed in a little bit.
rigs!!! Long time, no see! How’s it going?
rigs! Good to see you! How are you doing? (I’d wink and all, but I’m three hundred months pregnant and not very sexy)
Urgh. Horrible head hold. Hate hate hate. Also hate children who get up at five on a Saturday. Going to bed.
That was interesting. Imagine a group of Rennies having a practice wedding amid gaggles of teens from some sort of church group. Imagine that said kids are not mature enough yet to know the concept of “moderation” when it comes to applying perfume or cologne. Pee-Yew! Not sure what carried further - their noise or their smell.
No swords were drawn, but it would have been justified.
Hi, rigs!
I’d love a chance to edit that sticky anyway. There are a few minor fixes it needs.
Yeah, sorry about that… I didn’t intentionally leave anyone out…
