I can’t believe you left wing liberal scum making such a big deal over a politician getting a blowjob. We Republicans know that the fallibility of an individual’s private life in no way reflects on the validity of their professional stance.
Heh. It’s the advantage of being the party of loose sexual morals: when we do it, it’s not hypocritical. Just like it’s not hypocritical when Republicans take massive bribes from corporations.
Everytime something like this comes up, I always wonder why would a high level public official seek hookers in the first place ? Rich, powerful, often reasonably handsome/charismatic… if they’d just gone to the average singles bar they’d get all the tail they could possibly handle. But no, it’s gotta be the hooker in the sordid alley with the candlestick.
I don’t get it. I really don’t.

Just so we’re clear here, are you making a joke about the hypocrisy of pointing fingers at a Republican getting a blowjob… from a hooker… which he got arrested for by the police… when the whole Clinton shtick is categorized as no big deal by Libs ; or a more intellectually honest joke about the fact that the very concept of sex scandals in politics is stupid, especially when coupled with blind partisanship ?
I think Scylla’s trying to pretend that we’re hypocrites for scolding this fine, upstanding conservative, Steve Stevlic, for patronizing prostitutes while we blow-off the conservative scolding of Bill Clinton for having consensual sex with a non-prostitute. Also, Scylla’s ignoring the fact that what we’re actually doing is laughing at Steve Stevlic for chastising someone else’s marital affairs while being an adulterous john himself.
I feel people should be held to the moral standards they espouse. That’s why I felt Eliot Spitzer needed to resign when I didn’t think there was cause for Bill Clinton to do so.
But anyone who condemns other people for extramarital sex, like Stevlic has done, deserves to be condemned if he engages in extramarital sex.
You pay them to go away after it’s over. You can also pay them to do weird things. And you can more easily abuse them or feel morally superior during the act.
