Sari - don’t take any of your mom’s stuff unless you like it. I’ve got a house of furniture that’s all hand me downs. Trying to thin the herd brings on the guilt factor like you wouldn’t believe. “But that was the dresser that your grandmother used to store her tablecloths!” Which is fine, but I can’t walk through the dining room. Stay strong and only take what you really want. 
Howdy from Ft Worth Texas! Tis been a long day traveling. My room is a suite with a living room, bedroom and a tiny little kitchen area with a mini fridge and microwave. Tomorrow I will have to find a store and stock up on sandwich makings and beers. This is a huge base but seems kind of deserted. I’m told it gets busy on the weekends.
As far as the temp goes here and at home it’s HOT! I am a little jealous of youse with temps in the 50’s. OK off to read now.

Our electric co-op gladly takes my money without any action on my part. 
I’m set up on their budget plan, so every month, they take a set amount from checking, adjusted according to my account balance. At the moment, I’m way ahead, since we’ve cut our usage way back after disassembling the aquarium. I expect we’ll get ahead in the winter, too, because we don’t have electric heat. Anyway, they take what they need and I don’t bother.
My MIL absolutely refuses to set up any of her payments to be automatic. She wants to write her own checks every month. I don’t know if it’s so much paranoia as it’s being comfortable with what she’s done forever. My mom, on the other hand, has automated as much as she could - she’s not much of an internet user, but she does like doing her banking, etc, on line.
Good morning! My bladder woke me at 2, then Higgs’ bladder woke her at 4. **FCD **got up and dealt with her, so I got a little more sleep. He’s gone to work and I just finished my PB&J breakfast.
Today is lawn-mowing day. Once it gets light out, of course. I’ll need to coil up both hoses, then do the ditch before I can bring out John Deere. In fact, I think I might need to get some gas before I start anything - I emptied the last gas can the last time I mowed.
Beyond that, no plans. I finished my afghan last night and I’ve started making a hat - I think I’ll do hats and scarves for a while to use up the variegated yarn remnants. Plus hats and scarves go fast, and they’ll be needed soon. I think they distribute them via the food pantry.
Thus beginneth my last unemployed Tuesday for a while.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 64 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 85 for the day and sunny. Also low (for here) humidity. Nice! I get to make a foray over to the west forty to do an enrollment first thing this mornin’. This means I can slack a little here at da cave as 'tis closer to leave from here than it is to go to the orifice first. Rah.
OK, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. Since I am takin’ this Firday off (use or lose leave) this is sorta kinda my hump day, so there’s that.

I’m having email issues. Yahoo mail isn’t working most of the time. There appear to be problems with it all over the place, but at least I’m able to access it eventually. However, I’ve got an account at mail.com that I use for my more important correspondence, specifically related to the new job, as well as on-line shopping and bill-paying. I can get a list of what’s in my inbox, but I can’t open anything. What a pain in the patoot - especially with the new job about to start. I was supposed to do a drug test, but so far, no notification. I just emailed the HR person handling my file and gave her an alternate email, plus I asked about the drug test. We shall see.
Maybe it’s just a coincidence, but yesterday, I ran several anti-virus scans, and now I’m having these problems. Not happy!!! :mad:
Up, caffeinated, off today. I need to go to the laundromat.

So much for mowing. I need to report immediately to have my drug test done - well, they don’t open till 9 but by the time I shower and dress, I should get there just after they open. Note to self - don’t pee for the next hour…
I went to the company’s website to see a map, and was someone disconcerted to discover that they feel compelled to share scripture verses along side their list of drug test services. Here’s hoping the employees there are professional enough to not preach at me when I get there. I am not in the mood…
