I’ve been reading “reports” for a while that say Jamie Lynn had been living with her boyfriend.

As for how long they’ve been dating, I’ve read they started when she was 13 and he 16.
Don’t know what you’re referring to, but most of the ‘comparison’ stuff I’ve seen are talking about what an (apparently) bad parent Momma Lynn is, as evidenced by Britney and Jaime Lynn, not comparing Britneys (lack) of parenting skills to Jaime Lynns (not yet demonstrated) parenting skills, as in this, hence the pulling of momma Spears book etc.
He is from Mississippi, about 30 miles from their hometown of Kentwood Louisiana. She was living in a Condo with her mother, near Valencia- where they film her TV show. He came and stayed with them at their condo. I don’t know if that would qualify as “living with” because we don’t know how long term it was intended to be, but whichever.
And a few months ago, they (him and her) were seen out looking at condos, but obviously if she was pregnant, that makes sense.
I’m not judgemental on this at all, t’was an Oops moment of a natural course.
But, I do really want 'em to give the L’il Uterini Darling the interim nick “Pickles”.

I’m sure there are people you know IRL or here that had children at that age and they weren’t in trailers. Is it a good idea to have a kid so young? No. Could it have happened to anyone who had sex even if they used protection? Yes.

She’s quoted in todays’ paper as having said about premarital sex, “I definitely don’t think it’s something you should do; it’s better to wait.”
I’m a little weary of people who urge behavior on everyone else that they personally aren’t going to do. It’s just so hollow.

FWIW, when I got home last night, my 7.5 year old started watching Zoey 101, and immediately announced to my wife and me “Jamie Lynn is pregnant, and she’s only 16.” Apparently she saw it on the news in the morning! Anyway, after picking our jaws up off the floor, we took advantage of it to discuss teen pregnancy, and the pitfalls thereof. I was going to wax poetic about the firearms which would be employed against her boyfriend should such a thing happen to her, but my wife managed to stop me in time.
X-Play’s review of it was particularly hilarous.
My local radio station was commenting on how many calls they got telling them that Jamie has opened up a lot of such discussions between parents and their children. Silver lining and all.
Well, I did not call the girl a slut or insult her in any way. Teenagers do have sex and do get pregnant sometimes. It happens.
My feelings are that this girl has been pushed into a life of celebrity, she’s seen what has happened to her sister and either before or after she got pregnant she saw it as a way to get herself out of the craziness and have a semi-normal life. It’s unfortunate that it means having a baby before she’s probably mature enough to handle it but then again maybe she can actually take charge of her own life for a change now.
Aside from the fact that she can speak as someone going through that experience, you’re not quoting the entire quote.
So, she’s owning up that it was a mistake for her to have sex because it offers a chance for you to get knocked up and advises her young fans to learn from her mistakes. Then says that even if you choose the same path as her, she wont judge you for it because she knows what it’s like. She’s completely taking responsibility for her actions- something most 16 year olds probably would avoid at all costs. That horrible little girl! :eek:
While I don’t promote abstinence only education, I thinks he’s saying the right thing to her fans that are much, much younger than her. The fact is, if you fuck ,you too can end up in the same situation as Jamie Lynn.
yes, teenagers of America, if you have sex you too can - gasp! - get pregnant. (Why WERE those crazy kids so shocked?)
