Another Username Change Poll

After reading this post in the most recent thread about the origin of usernames over in MPSIMS, I have the uncontrollable urge to change my username, which was only something I threw in when my first choice was taken.

So, I know what I want, but it’s a choice between the Greek version or the Roman:

Peitho (Greek)

or

Suadela (Roman)

Either way, the names are derived from classical mythology: the goddess of persuasion/seduction. Sometimes said to be daughter of Aphrodite and Hermes.

Yep, that’s what I want to be known as around here.

So - which version?

Suadela sounds like the goddess of Naugahyde.

Dunno if you consider that a bad thing or not.

Suadela. It looks feminine whereas **Peitho ** seems masculine.

I’d go with Suadela, even though it sounds like litigation toward Fred Astaire’s sister. (sue Adela)

I think I started something.

I like Suadela better. Less gender confusion and you could always be nicknamed Sue or Della.

So wouldn’t this make you just another aspect of Venus or Cythera or Kythereia?

I might be wrong. My 4 years of latin was over 20 years ago.

Jim

Suadela has my vote, too.

Peidetha

I thought Suadela was a cold medicine; somethng for stuffy noses.

Oo, I like Suadela. Go with it!

My username change is complete **Yawanna ** soon to be (it looks like) Suadela

Jim

Dude! I go to all the trouble to rig your username survey so you have to stay jrfranchi and then you change it anyway? What kind of democracy is that?

I submitted the 3 top choices to Tuba Diva, and listed **JRFranchi ** first but I said if there is any problems making a change that is only caps please go with the second choice. Thus I am What Exit?, I’ll admit to likng it better anyway, so I am thankful to Tuba.

Jim

I like Peitho much better than the other. Sounds much more pleasant when you say it.

Hey, Jim, congrats on the name change. I like it.

Peitho. Much better.

Well, I suppose you could pay me Tuesday for a hamburger today. It would be so much nicer if you’d just Peitho.
