Any Cheap Internet Services?

I googled around and see there are some.

Right now, I got laid off and found a part time job, but it won’t cover much more than the rent, which I guess is good.

So I am definately trimming budgets. I decided to get rid of the Internet high speed. I figure, I can get by with dial up for a few months, till I find a permanent job and use the library and my laptop if I need high speed

Are there any cheap dial up service or even free dial up? I see ads for them when I google, but I don’t know so I thought I’d ask for opinions.

Since I mostly read even dial up would be OK.

Thanks

Do you have an internet-capable smartphone? If so, look up the app EasyTether Lite. It’s free, and you basically turn your phone into a modem via USB.

If you do that, make sure your phone company doesn’t charge an arm and a leg for tethering. I didn’t, and ended up paying $200 for downloading Firefox.

AT&T is $14.99 a month right now. Isn’t that as cheap as whatever dialup costs these days?

I actually have AT&T DSL now and that 14.95 is only for new customers. I tried to get them to give it to me, but they refused. Even the supervisor said no. So I told them, I’d cancel it and they were like “OK, when do you want it shut off.”

So I figured I’d ask here before I actually shut it off.

Seems like AT&T is trying to push people over to U-Verse and away from DSL.

I have a cell phone but it’s one of those pay as you go plans. I don’t really use the phone much anyway, so that is all I need.

Does AOL still make those CDs? LOL You know where you’d get a month free

I’m paying $24.95 a month for AT&T “enhanced” DSL; is that deal still available?

Netscape aka AOL is $10.95 a month billed to your CC.
