She’s the little girl who Dante sees through the restaurant window when he’s driving around at night. She looks a lot like her dad, if he wore his hair in pigtails.
She takes after him physically as well. Mom is a rail, and Harley looks like she enjoys food as much as her dad does.
I completely forgot about that part, probably because of how random it was. That makes sense though. Thanks.
Since no one took the bait from my earlier post, the woman at the end looking at all the milk bottles (the milk maid, searching for one with a later expiration date) was the same woman who did it in the original Clerks; Grace Smith, Kevin’s mom.
I thought she looked awfully similar, but I wrote it off, because could you really get the same random bit character 10 years later? Of course, I should have realized that Smith would have known everyone in the first film. He didn’t have the money to hire outside his own circle.
Did anyone else notice that, when they’re in the jail cell, the camera keeps framing things so that the only words behind Dante’s head from the scripture on the wall are “but sinners.” Ha ha: “Butt Sinners.”
I’ve heard a rumour that, in the scene just before the Buffalo Bill pose, Dante says something that - after the pose - is funny? If so, I missed it. Anyone know what I’m talkin’ 'bout?
I finally saw it. I saw it in the theater closest to the actual Quick Mart.
I really enjoyed the movie.
One question, the Go Carts, where are they in California?
They sure are not in Monmouth County. I use to go to a Go Cart place like that north of San Diego.
The old Food Circus Clown got a big cheer in the Hazlet, NJ movie theater. It was a good Size crowd for a Tuesday night.
I liked Randal’s little tribute to the Breakfast club during the gratuitous Bollywood Dance number.
I really enjoyed the movie.

Where?
I’m bemused, yet flattered. If you’d like to judge for yourself, you may.
It may have been as far North as Oceanside, I cannot remember. They had Go Karts, Bumber Boats, Batting Cages and an Arcade. They were on the side of the highway like the place in Clerks II.
Jim
Oh I’ll judge you all night baby!
Oh wow… even I felt a little dirty saying that.
Oh! Are you talking about Boomers, off the 805 in Clairemont? (Within the city limits, so maybe not.)
Er, sorry. Would’ve been called Family Fun Center or something when you lived here (was most of the time I lived here, anyway).
That sounds very familar and right off 805 sounds right. I think that was the place. Last time I would have been there was 1988.
Jim
It looked to me like the dance number was from “Ferris Beuller’s Day Off.” And Randal’s tribute to the Breakfast Club was spectacular.
I am sorry to report that “Lister-fiend” is already taken as an AIM screen name.
But if a woman comes on here with that as a Dopername, I will stalk her.
I fell out of my seat laughing at least three times.
Clairemont Mesa Blvd?
So that brings this full circle, do you think that could be the same Go-Kart place as in the movie?
Jim
Haven’t seen it. I’ll see if I can watch it tomorrow.
That said, I’ve only ever been there once, and then only on a high-school-age trip with a bunch of out-of-towners I was doing a UCSD summer program with. I’ll see if I can tell, though!
If you’re that close, you might like going to the Rolling Roadshow screening of the original Clerks at the Quick Stop. Just don’t call it Quick Mart, you’ll lose your cred.
Already on my calendar. Myself and two friends are planning to be in Leonardo on August 8th for the local showing. I’m not worried about my cred though, I just enjoy the films and the scenes from my area. I am not a fanatic or anything.
Stills sounds like a lot more recent than me. Please let us know if it is the place.
