Because as long as a freak Minnesota snowstorm doesn’t hit us before 3 p.m. on the 18th, and as long as some nut job doesn’t mention things like ‘bomb’ or ‘crash’ on any of my flights, that’s where I’m going to be at 6 a.m. CST on 19 October.
So. If you want to see fancy-schmancy Spanish stamps and a brief note (I’m thinking of using “I was here”. Or maybe “The weather is here, I wish you are fine”.) in some REALLY bad handwriting, drop me a line at rsandy7420@yahoo.com.
Just check into a cyber cafe en españa and make us all jealous!! Especially if you describe those tall, handsome … Uh! Sorry. Getting carried away. Bon voyage!
Yes. I would like a postcard from Spain.
Plus a comic book from Spain.
Plus I want some Spainish Peanutbutter M+Ms
Spainish cherries.
And Spainish rum.
Chique I am very jealous. Where are you headed? I have been to Spain quite a few times, but mainly for work and almost always to Madrid (once to Barcelona for a night). I doubt that I will get back anytime soon. Please have some Jambon Serrano and Queso Manchego for me! And a nice glass of red wine or some sangria if you can find the time. My grandparents like to spend October on the Costa Brava when they could, and the mention of Spain and October always reminds me of my deceased grandfather. He was a bit of a party animal, so have a drink and think of him, it would make him smile.
And I’m not saying this just because you once e-mailed me out of the blue (my e-mail’s changed, by the way; it’s in my profile).
Oh, and if you happen to run into an American couple (both blond), named Taylor and Toponia (Taylor’s the guy), say hi from Taylor’s cousin Bill. They’re in Spain as we speak, but I don’t know where; however, it would be just the coolest thing ever if you (by some freakish miracle) did happen to run into them, and could say hi from me. He’s quite tall, and she’s very short, and they’re both chefs in California.
Arden, Jr. Ranger II will most DEFINITELY receive a postcard
:: smooches Joey ::
andygirl is getting a VERY cool postcard
Shibboleth - will have and DEFINITELY enjoy the first two. Red wine, however, gives me headaches, but Cadiz produces this lovely little white that is not available in the States … ::drool::
Java, you have NO CLUE how much paella I’m going to suck down while I’m there
Chique, I am in Madrid these days, let me know if you will spend any time here.

>> a comic book from Spain.
Huh?
>> Plus I want some Spainish Peanutbutter M+Ms
Peanut butter M+Ms? Are you sureyou are thinking of Spain? The country located next to Gibraltar?
>> Spainish cherries.
I am beginning to think it’s not a typo. Spanish cherries? huh? Or maybe… I once knew this girl who… ahh… never mind… sweet Spanish cherry memories…
>> And Spainish rum.
You must be thinking of some other “Spain” located in the Caribbean. I believe it goes by the name of Cuba or Puerto Rico or something.
arden ranger
>> I’ll take a Spanish guitarist or Flameco dancer
So you won’t take a movie star? That’s why you didn’t take Antonio Banderas when we sent him over to you?
I´m going to be at the Madrid airport sometime tomorrow (Saturday) morning, but I only have two hours and am currently in a little cybercafe in Sevilla so don´t have my flight info on me…would have been nice to meet you, though…
For all of you waiting for postcards, I SWEAR I mailed them about a week ago. My family hasn’t even received the ones I mailed yet, and I’m getting a bit concerned. I assume the recent troubles have added to the typical delays of the Spanish post office, but hang tight, please…they ARE on their way.
