Sploosh! Set on an island in the South Pacific and Archer now is a pilot.
Sounds like this old TV show. Any body else remember that show? As Battlestar Galactica was to Star Wars, that was to Raiders of the Lost Ark.

I don’t even have to click the link to know you’re talking about Tales of the Golden Monkey. I remember liking that show.
What did everyone think? Not a lot of laughs, but is seems like it was more a scene setter episode. One advantage of these coma episodes is that they can reset the characters; they can dial Cheryl’s crazy way down and then over the course of the season ramp it back up; without that reset, there really isn’t anywhere to go with her character. I love how they handled the talking bird, “just get over it.”
I really liked it - much more than “Dreamland.”
Nice touch with the narration by Pam at the beginning, “sometimes I wonder if he’s dreaming…then I remember that I don’t give a shit.”
Krieger as “Crackers” had me rolling - “yes, he can talk…let’s not make a big deal out of it…”
WHY DOES HE TALK?!!!
…parrot?
I liked it, though I agree it was more exposition/season setup than outright humor. I’m wondering how long the party separation will last.
“Fuchs?”

The season premiere was mildly amusing but could’ve been better. Still, I’ll keep watching, if only for Krieger as a parrot and Ray as a Claude Rains-esque French cop.
