Are gas prices down for you?

I filled up a couple of days ago for $2.29 a gallon (that was with the ten cent Kroger discount.)

$2.36 as of this morning.

Regards,
Shodan

40 bucks used to get my tank 3/4’s full, now i can’t reach 40 before it fills up from a damn near empty tank.

It finally cracked a buck a litre here in Ontario, was holding at 1.02-1.05 in various. Now its down to high nineties, depending on where you are. Some areas are now reporting at high eighties. I’ll be happy when Gas hits .50 cents a litre.

Declan

$2.17 per, at Krogers, middle Tennessee, before discount.

Not quite that cheap in Tucson yet. Gasbuddy says it’s $2.28 at both Sam’s Club and Costco.

I went on vacation and bought gas in upstate SC for $2.19.

I made it back home and it had dropped to the equivalent of US$5.35 per US gallon. I filled up and the next day my truck died - major transmission malfunction. Damn if that tankful of gas isn’t a significant portion of the remaining value of the truck.

Another UK update - prices continue to fall and it’s now about £1.15 per litre, that’s $6.85 per US gallon.

For some strange reason, the Finger Lakes region and western New York state have the highest gas prices in the continental US. It’s still in the $3.00 range in Ithaca, and $3.10-$3.20 in the Buffalo area.

Gasbuddy.com has prices in many states well under $2.50 per gallon.
$2.21 is the cheapest currently in my zip code.

93 cents a litre, which given the dollar exchange from Canadian puts it at about $4 a USG.

A bargoon!

$2.63 a gallon when I filled up yesterday, which is damn cheap for California. It broke $3 only a few weeks ago, it seems.
However owning a Prius makes it a bit bittersweet.

$2.789 on base last week, though it was still at $3.079 for mid-grade and I think somewhere around 3.279 for high-grade. Most civilian gas stations in the area charge 10-20 cents a gallon more than NEX does.

I can’t even remember the last time gas was below $3.00 here in Connecticut.

$1.95/gal at Shell with 40 cent Winn-Dixie discount.

Just filled up for $1.999, no discount.

[del]Sorta[/del] Completely O/T.

On my first day working for the postal service in May of '08, a new hire who came aboard the same day was driving his new Prius, which seemed pretty astute of him, considering that gas prices were at an all-time high, and rising, with no end in sight. Perhaps a year later, the price of gas had not only stabilized, it was going down significantly. He proceeded to dump the Prius and bought himself a pickup, crowing about what a smart time it was to own a gas guzzler (this encouraged me to continue evolving my opinion of his smarts in a downward direction).

By the time he transferred out of state (in about 2011, IIRC), he was driving a $75K Corvette. The man was a walking midlife crisis.

Oh. I spent $2.449/gal at Costco on Sunday morning on my way home from work. Just checked the price on gasbuddy and that same location has $2.399/gal.

$2.55 is the cheapest I’ve seen. Placer County, just north of Sacramento.

I think current gas supplies are being used as an economic weapon against Russia. Take look at this article.

While this is mostly a WAG on my part, it seems the West is crashing the oil price to punish Russia (Read ‘Putin’) for it’s thuggery in Crimea and Ukraine. Russia’s economy is largely based on its oil industry and thus is very sensitive to the price of oil.

J.

$2.19 today at the Delta station in South River, NJ. Can it go under $2?

Wow. I just passed two stations, Raceway and Fuel One, in Edison, NJ selling Regular for $2.07 a gallon. I should have waited to fill up. :frowning:
