Are gas prices down for you?

Yep I didn’t realize it until a friend mentioned it. Next time I went to fill up I checked and it said $2.02. Couldn’t believe it!

The other day while taking a cab home the driver mentioned the low prices. We were stopped at a light and just happened to catch one of the convenience stores change the sign from $2.02 to $1.99! 'Twas ridiculous

The supermarkets here in the UK are having a bit of a petrol price war. All the big players have announced a £.02/litre drop starting tomorrow. That will make petrol £1.14 and diesel £1.19 at my local Sainsbury’s. That’s $6.48 for petrol in USD/USG.

$1.769 down the street.

Saw it for a buck eightyfive at meijers yesterday.

I filled up at $1.959. Now it’s $1.839. Ohio.

I gassed up at $1.73 on Monday…GasBuddy is showing the lowest current price at $1.67 now.

Come on 99 cents! It could happen, we are more than halfway there!

$1.69 at two stations in Lyndhurst NJ today.

Filled up today for $1.64

That’s an awfully small tank. What do you drive: a chainsaw?

Where would one…sit…?

per gallon of course. good catch though.

Why is it so much here? Lowest around here is $2.42.

Wow. Apparently the average in NH is $2.17 but I paid $2.05 on Wednesday. I’d love to see it below $2 here too, but I’m already saving quite a bit at the moment considering I go through over a tank of gas a week and had been paying $3.60 as recently as this summer.

$1.59 in Central Texas today.

Here in Lima, Peru we went from S/. 16.50 a gallon to S/. 11.20 in about a month.

In a little town situated between Dayton, Columbus, and Cincinnati, several of the more prominent stations seem to all be in lockstep in terms of gas prices, and it’s not always good news.

Since I’ve been in this town (4 months), I have seen the same pattern play out over and over again: the price at five stations would drop be a few cents/gallon, almost every day. After a few weeks, the prices at these same five station would increase suddenly by, usually, 22 cents/gallon. Then prices would start a slow downward slide for a few weeks, until, overnight, all five stations raised their prices by 22 cents/gallon.

At the beginning of January, the prices were about $1.879/gallon, then jumped to $2.099, then fell to $2.029, then jumped to $2.099, and since have fallen to $1.979/gallon.

During times when the prices have jumped in this little, isolated town, I have had opportunities to travel to Dayton or Cincinnati, only to see that those increases seem to have been limited to the small town.

It can be tricky deciding if I want to wait another day to fill up to see if the price drops again, or should I fill up now, in case they raise the price overnight.

Converting to US currency and US gallons, it’s about $2.70 here. Which is pretty darned good actually.

Makes me feel lucky to be paying ~$1.69/g for non-ethanol’d fuel over last few weeks. Also, using a purchase-based reward-system from a local grocery store (Homeland, per se), I got ~15g of regular gas for only 45 cents/g at a participating fuel stop/store - had earned around a buck-thirty off of normal price/g. A very worthy fill-up, for darn sure. Do it around once a month at approx same pricing discounts for grocery shopping at one place exclusively

Tapioca Dextrin: nice, ain’t it?!

ETA - this is in Central Ok, fwiw.

I was driving to my job on an oil rig. I have … mixed feelings
