Yep, more 502 and 504 today, as is usually the case on weekends.

Seems like some server upgrades would do the trick, eh?

Just got another 504 Gateway Timeout error.

I reckon it’s because I was trying to get into First Class boarding, and I’m only carrying an Economy Class ticket.

Reference the sticky at the top of this forum, and posts #30 and #36 in this thread, all from TubaDiva. Lacking any updates I assume the situation hasn’t changed, i.e. they are working towards a big fix, new software on new hardware.

In the meantime, there isn’t much they can do to improve current board performance. If TubaDiva says it, I believe it. So I am possessed of patience, except when I get fed up and get out of it for a while and then come back and try again later.

So no, nothing is fixed, and today is pretty bad.

I’m not noticing any differences to speak of between weekend days and weekdays.

Last two days I was logged out, which is not normal. Not going to start a thread, but thought I’d add an anecdote.

Mixed results for errors. Normally resolve by updating the link, so not so bad.

It must be Sunday… timeouts are constant!

It was so much better there for a while but this weekend, it has been bad.

This place has gotten like a gym. Going there is a chore and not fun but I like the results. Coming here used to be fun, it no longer is. I like learning things so I still make the effort but it really is a chore.

Not complaining, but I’ve been tempted to request that my username be changed to Gateway Time Out.

Ditto. I’ve had so many sage replies to so many threads, but I end up giving up after never ending time outs, 504 or internal server errors. It’s sad that so many OPs have missed out on my wisdom. :frowning:

You’re welcome to it. I reserve all rights to the phrase “Server: Server error” as a username. Those who may accuse it of being redundant need to be reminded of the poetic device of anaphora.

Yeah, I have to agree. Before I click on a thread I have to think “It may be an hour before I can get another click that gives me anything but a time-out. Do I really want to “spend” it on this thread?”

But I jumped in here because I just had something really weird happen. I posted in a thread in QZ, (I think, I can’t waste a click to double-check). I got the time-out, like I do 95% of the time. It was bad today and I couldn’t get back in the thread to check to see if the post went through. So I went to do something else (playing a game app) then I reopened that thread. I saw my post had come through at 3:37. But a duplicate came through at 4:23, which was at about the time I reopened the thread. I managed to delete it but it was weird.

Now I will click submit and the board will probably time out. Don’t know when I’ll get back in.

My subscription renewal is coming up and I’m seriously considering whether to re-up or not. While my other options for online discussions are either smaller or a worse threading style, they don’t make me pay for the privilege of getting server errors.

I have gotten around or nearly twenty 504 errors today, no exaggeration.
