Seriously, I’d like to have a beer with all the people who have been political foes in Great Debates, because I’m betting that we’d rapidly be good buddies. That’s the way these personal meetings often go.

I don’t believe anybody has mentioned Kyla in this thread. She always struck me as very interesting and very nice.
And I’d like to meet some of the people who post good stuff in GQ–tamerlane, Exapno Mapcase, Colibri, and Darwin’s Finch come to mind. John Mace is always interesting in GD, and it’s always good to hear from RickJay, Northern Piper, and Bryan Ekers north of the border.
There’s also a guy named Cecil Adams who sounds kind of cool, but he doesn’t post real often.
I’d like to hoist a brew with What Exit? and Qadgop the Mercotan to discuss Middle-earth; Bricker to chat about politics and the law, and SamClem and Tomndebb for just about anything else. And all my other new acquaintances from the Cleveland DopeFest so kindly hosted by elmwood in early June, including Kittenblue, Mr. Slant, BMalion and GrizzRich! Plus too many others to mention, but you know who you are.

In my head, I spelled the **Eleanor ** part “Elanor” for the flowers of Middle-Earth and for Samwise Gamgee’s eldest and fairest child. Strange, because I noticed your name early in my stay at the SDMB as it is a fun Beatles Reference. So **Elendil’s Heir ** was definitely on the right path.

I would enjoy meeting just about every doper who participates in GD and the more serious pit threads, but one doper stands out for me. That is gum who to me is a sister in spirit and one who I have a great deal of respect for.
There are a LOT of female dopers who I have random dope-crushes on. A lot.
But aside from that, I’d most like to meet some of the dopers I’ve argued with, just to see what they’re like in real life, and so I could buy them a burger so they’d know there were no hard feelings… in particular: Bricker, Shodan, and the lamented Liberal.
Oh, and I’m a bit curious to meet Der Trihs, to see how serious he is about everything.
