Fairychatmom, she’s very funny and down to earth, and has a lot of great wisdom.

I would definitely like to have a beer with Chronos sometime. I like the way he thinks. And we only live a couple of hours apart.
Exapno Mapcase and I don’t always agree, but we seem to have a lot in common and I’d like to get to know him better.
Anaamika fascinates me. Especially since she has knowledge of things that interest me that I don’t know much about.
I haven’t run into Blake in many social-type threads, but I’ve enjoyed arguing both with him and against him, so he’s definitely on my list.
Then there’s tomndebb, Colibri, Qadgop the Mercotan, and Q.E.D., just to name the ones who come directly to mind.

You know, that could be fun! I rarely actually get out and shoot these days, but I’m taking the kids camping next weekend to a place where I can plink away to my heart’s content. I was going to bring the BB gun, pellet gun, and .22 for them anyway, I might as well bring my target gun too.
Of course, I’ll lose to those of you who actually practice, but every competition needs someone who’ll be last, doesn’t it? Give me a quick note of the distance this week and I’ll join you and we can organize at our leisure. (I haven’t done that sort of thing since college, so I’m quite rusty on the mechanics of it.)
I forgot about gum. I love gum. 
And I don’t wanna go on any SDMB shooting tour. Not that I don’t wanna shoot, but you get people who fight all the time in the Pit and GD together with guns in their hands, what do you expect? See?

hmm… not sure I would want to meet any dopers actually. I would hate for the carefully structured mental image I have of certain posters would be shattered. If I dont meet anyone, than everyone is what I think they are.
Kinda like when you hear your favorite book on tape and the guy reading it says the name different than you hear it in your head when your reading.
On re-reading that sentence, it’s probably nothing like that actually.

Most of my favorite Dopers I’ve had the good fortune to have met already. (Is that why they’re my favorites? Possibly.) I’d like to meet mhendo, because I can’t remember ever disagreeing with any of his posts, AND he’s a vegetarian baseball fan (like ME, the most important person in my life), and jjimm, whom I like a great deal. For some reason, he deleted his LiveJournal, which makes me sad. And Guinastasia, who’s a lot braver than I am, to wade into debates and arguments that scare me. Oh, and Shirley Ujest, who sent me a very sweet email awhile ago that really made my day. I don’t know why we never met when I lived in Michigan, darn.
