Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 50 Amurrkin out (well, brrr!) and clear with a predicted high of 71 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. The rain cooled things down but temps will be back into the upper 70s for highs again tomorrow with rain allegedly comin’ in Wednesday night. We shall see. Today is laundry day. Rah. I may also tackle my taxes which won’t be difficult at all. Fun times ahead!
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy is hongry. Then, onward into the day. Laundry and taxes await!
What a terrible night! I fell asleep at a decent hour, but woke up about 30 minutes later, and couldn’t fall back to sleep. My brain was on overdrive thinking about stupid stuff, my bladder was on overdrive, but I didn’t drink much with supper and nothing after, so who knows what that was about… I couldn’t get comfortable - not on my back, not on my side, not with my legs stretched out or bent or crossed.
I finally dropped off after midnight, then my bladder woke me again just before 3. I dozed again till a little after 4, and that was that. Driving in was a struggle, tho it was helped by seeing light on the horizon. There will be sun today, so there’s that! I fear it’s gonna be a long day, tho.
**Bumba **- do Satan’s minions wear overalls and goggles like the other kind of minons? I like that mental image.
It’s a chilly 27 degrees outside. It didn’t feel that cold when I stepped out to see what was up with the dog.
It’s supposed to get up to 55 today, so we’ll do a little more trimming on the crepe myrtle.
I woke up too early, 4:30, and coudn’t get back to sleep.
I was sort of getting there but cat tried to jump the gate to get into his room and knocked it over.
The crash got me up to check things out.
I need to do some laundry, and figure out some kind of menu for the next few days.
I have to call my other doctor because I think I have an appointment coming up, but it’s not in my phone and I can’t find the appointment card. I think my prescriptions need to be sent in too.
I’m usually more organized
Y’all have me checking my license, but I’m good until 2020.
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off today. Gonna hit the laundromat before watching the Canes game. The Canes make one trade yesterday, for a guy who stole my high school fake ID name.:dubious:
Yeah, kinda like when Jack Nicholson plays a crazed psychopath. It’s not just acting.
Now for those actually lucid and thinking ------- one of the pre-con events will be at Adventure Park in Maryland the Thursday or Friday of the convention so we’ll probably be in that general area sometime the night before or after or something. Maybe. Consider and will keep ya’ll informed.
**FCD **talked to a lawyer today about his business. Good thing he did - lots of stuff we didn’t know that could spell trouble down the road. So yay for professional advice.
I’m still awake, amazingly enough. And I just finished a pile of drawings that were a bit of a challenge, regardless of my mental acuity. And I got an email this morning with more stuff to do, so I shall be busy this afternoon.
And I’m pretty sure I’m sleeping with Mel tonight.
The main site my college is attached to just announced they’ll be closed for 2 days, due to there mere prospect of snow. I don’t know if skool will be on or not, yet.
The forecast is gulp5-10 cm. Possibly. Or a 40% chance of nothing.
You can all start fighting over my CDs now.
I mean, they actually don’t grit in most roads in this county because snow is so rare, so it all turns into an ice rink, and it’s down a steep hill or through some very windy back lanes, so it’s not entirely silly, but I can still hear the Canadians giggling from here.
It’s snowing here. I guess that week or so of sunshine in January was just to psych us out.
The Suburban won’t start. I say it’s the starter. The lights come on. The radio starts. The electric lift gate works. In short (heh), it looks like we have a charge. When you turn the key, absolutely nothing happens. No noises, no clicks, no whirrs. Nothing. My husband says it’s the battery. I guess we’ll find out. Option 2 is a loose wire, because it starts sometimes with no apparent difference between attempt 1 and attempt 2.
Vacation shall be, I think: Part 1, RV trip to Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Glacier, and possibly the Canadian Rockies. Part 2: Alaskan Cruise with my sister’s family.
The nice folks who do my cleaning are here today. I love them.
