Arnold, Cyclists and Hamantaschen - A Signs of Spring MMP

I’m sure some of you already knew this, but cooking chicken all day is not a good idea. It didn’t taste bad, but the texture was not impressive. I’ll try to make soup with the leftovers - we shall see how that goes.

It’s clouding over - rain’s a’comin’!!

Culinary Boy and I concluded the Quest for a Real Bed today. We found a place in Airport Town that is the only state-licensed mattress sanitizer in NC west of Charlotte. After I got off irk, we drove down to Airport Town and checked the place out. The owner is a real nice guy who cut us a great deal on a king bed and boxspring–$150 plus $25 shipping. He also took us out back to see the oven where he cooks the beds to kill whatever might lurk inside. That was cool.

New Bed is due to come in on Thursday. There will be much rejoicing as yet another airbed takes the long trip down to the trash corral. I gave Computer Boy one of the business cards since he’s tired of deflating airbeds as well.

Feel better, LiLi.

Good grief that was a quest, Nava. Hopefully it’s all been straightened out. If not, I recommend using a Clue-by-Four with a bonus Nail of Understanding sticking out of it.

Wow, sounds like they’ve got the art of bureaucracy perfected, Nava. Hope things got straightened out. I would also add BooFae’s pointy stick to the weapons that need to be used if they didn’t.

Hope the pain goes away soon (and for good!), LiLi.

swampy:

Long day at work today, all-day meetings tomorrow and the next day. I’s tahred!

Off to find food.

Forgot to mention - I got an email from soon-to-be-ex-SIL. He wanted to remind daughter and me that the 1 year separation ends in about 4 weeks. He wanted to be sure we had his address for sending the divorce papers. As if my daughter would have lost track of time.

I’m guessing he’s got a new supporter… er… wife lined up already.

Wow, glad the separation will be over soon. Your theory about the supporter-in-waiting seems probable, FCM.

janis, I completely forgot to reply to you earlier: yes, I’m in Columbus. Just remembered because I was out walking a little bit ago and saw an ice-cream truck as well. It was a conversion van that was painted red and had no music on at the time, but it had ICE CREAM and related decorations on it.

Gotta knit for a while, then I have some work to do and then…maybe more knitting. Or maybe some picture uploading.

Hugs.

Signs of spring…hmmm…Japanese cherry and plum trees in bloom.

It’s been a hell of a week and it’s only Tuesday. Bleh.

There isn’t much going on here; I’m just busy and tired as all get out.

I agree with your assessment re: the soon to be ex-son-in-law, FCM.

I hope they find a diagnosis soon, Li-Li.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with so much crap, Nava.

It’s raining here; but that’s what it does in March around here. Temps are right around 50 degrees, so, although it’s not really cold, it’s certainly not balmy.

If one can’t be naughty with one’s Priest, then with whom could one be naughty? Wait, that does not sound right does it?

Jambalaya was good. Enough left over for two lunches even. Go Me!

Yay for soon to be ex s-i-l MOOOOOOM!

Ick for all the red tape nava. I second the use of BooFae’s pointy stick.

Howdy Taters!

Yay for new bed Spaz!

Ima go take some Benadryl [sup]TM[/sup] and go beddy bye.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

**Navs, **if the pointy stick doesn’t work, I found my can of whupass while unpacking over the weekend, and I can make it available to ya…

Laterz. Time for my ugly sleep.

Canes win!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
I am insane with joy. It’s also 69 degrees right now.

FCM, my best friend’s ex got engaged with the new girl 13 months after the ink on the divorce papers were signed.

Congrats on the new bed, Spaz!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ YAWN ‘Tis 64 Amurrkin out and lookin’ for a high once again in the mid 80s. We could use a little of that rain some of y’all are gettin’ if’n anybody wants to send some.

Tonight is soup and sammich at the church house followed by Evening Prayer. I like soup 'n sammich time. Means I don’t have to cook.

Now I go in search of more caffiene and brekkies for rumbly tummy. Also, irk purtification must happen, alas.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

I got nuthin.

Awake. Just barely. Need to get going since I need to get to work a bit earlier than usual.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

GT

Spending the day escorting a College President candidate through her interviews. Hope she’s interesting to talk to!

Yikes, I overslept big time today, so am running terribly late. Happy Hump day everyone, though, as today marks the half way point in the work week.

I am up and caffeinated, although how much good it’s doing me is probably another story … LOL. I’ve had a bit of brekkie but will have some cottage cheese and fruit when I get to work. Oh my, I can’t tell you how disappointed I was to find out how much sodium is in cottage cheese! I love cottage cheese and have had to cut my intake -way- back because it is loaded with sodium. I do allow myself to have an occasional serving, which is what I’m gonna do later this morning.

I found a former co-worker on facebook yesterday! She changed jobs, going to an other govt. agency, about 5 years ago and unfortunately I had not kept in touch with her. I was thinking about her and decided to see if she might be on facebook and fortunately she was! It was good to be in touch with her again and we’re going to stay in touch this time.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Up, caffeinated, off to irk. I smashed my foot against the kitchen rack last night, and now every other toe is purple. ow.

Every other toe? Wow.

Ouch.

Neat trick, too…

Ouch, doggio.
Still here, still alive.

Hi – anybody miss me?

Too busy, read nothing but the OP, so – sorry I’m not responding to anything

Re signs of Spring in Israel… Well, eventually, sometime in January or so, it just gets weird calling the weather “Autumn,” so we start calling it “Spring…”

[zoooooooom]

Squeeeeeeeeee!
