Since this thread exists, I gotta say that I always thought Drunky Smurf was a great name; with that avatar, tho, it got elevated to fucking fantastic. That picture totally fucking rocks and the combo of the two is awesome!
I think it also works well with your profession (if I remember it correctly). It looks like she is just about to pay you a visit.
I agree, and my admiration is only slightly mitigated by the fact that IIRC he seems to have a problem with me personally as a poster.

I approve of this new change. Avatars are fun!
My only criticism is that it won’t let me upload any. sad face I tried two different pics, 2 different sizes, 125x125 and 50x50, and all failed.

Yep. The successful ones are clean, simple and have contrast. Or are a coo.
50 X 50 requires high contrast and simplicity in order to be effective, imho. I like hippos iiandyiiii but it’s too realistic of an image at 50 x 50. Avatars like Sunny Daze’s, Chronos’s, John Mace’s, Furry Man, ITD all work well. Guinastasia’s is very effective as well. Folks like Snowborder Bo and Jack Batty might be better at 100 x 100 or greater.
Mine needs to be touched up a bit and transparency added. But I am a bit lazy.
