Back in the office in the MMP

Yesterday, we got up to 80°. Right now, it’s 46° and we probably won’t see 60s. At least the rain has passed.

The Leonardtown Spring Fling Auto Show is today and **FCD **wants to go. At least the weather will be nice, if he decides his knees are up to all the walking. Other than that, no specific plans.

Happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday!

It’s cold outside, and inside, since we turned the heat off yesterday and didn’t turn it back on.
It’s cloudy and a bit breezy.

I’ve got load of clothes in the dryer and a load of whites soaking in the washer.

I’m trying to keep the dog busy so he leaves my son alone. Ripple has a thing about my son being in his bedroom, he thinks all of us should be in the same room all the time. I try to play with him so my son can sleep, or do homework, or do whatever, and Ripple just won’t give up trying to get him to come out.

SSDD.

Yesterday was a down day, & I mean that in a good way. Ended up not doing much other than that shoot in the morning. I wanted to do other stuff, but it kind of never happened. Didn’t take the balloon out, didn’t go hiking & to the fun store out that way (Cabela’s - it’s the size of a Wally World w/ only 4 depts - hunting, fishing, camping/cooking & clothes.) For the first time in nine weeks, I had some semblance of how normal people relaxate on a weekend.

In fact, I was sitting at the 'puter editing last night when I heard the national anthem on the TV in the other room. Ummm, why’s that playing? Walked in to see it was hockey (no incidents before or during the “fucking song” either.)
Made it partway thru the first before passing out, woke up a couple of times (I know it went to OT) but otherwise spent the night on the sofa.

We’re close, 48° at the moment, going up to 57°. At least the sun is out now; it was forecast (& was) cloudy this morning, which means I didn’t get up for the sunrise shot I want to take. There’s only one (or two) days next month I’m even available to do that, & leaving the house an hour before sunrise in June is just not as much fun. :frowning:

The big question is do I go running now, or want for the group run later?

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Today is my one day off this week. Going to the laundromat between the F1 race this morning, and the hockey games this afternoon.

I worked 14 hours yesterday and it was warm and sunny. Today I’m off, and it’s gonna be 60.:dubious:

 They did put on the foil last night, though.

Sharks won in Double Secret Overtime, 2 goals by Brent “Dumpster Samurai” Burns.

Group rum!
Wait, ruN?

Sunday. Mowing Day. Blurf.

Just waiting until the morning dew bakes off and it gets to about 10am, so the neighbors have no complaint about the noise (mowing at 6:30am is contraindicated).

After that I’ll clean up and head out to the Golden Corral to unashamedly stuff myself.

Like others, temperatures are cooler here today, but the rest of the week is supposed to be dry and warm. After the deluges of last week, I can handle that.

Dentist appointment tomorrow. Oh joy.

All y’all have a good Sunday.

After breakfast, we went by the auto show, but with temps in the low 50s and a brisk breeze, we gave up pretty quickly. We may or may not go back later - it’s on till 4.

Meanwhile, I’m thinking about whether to do yard chores or not. I’m feeling particularly slug-like today.

Yesterday, **Roxstar **had a photo shoot and I saw a few of the pics - she’s actually smiling in one! Yeah, I know, probably gas, but still, it’s a lovely, sweet photo. It’ll become the wallpaper on my work computer.

Tomorrow I need to get a new CAC - mine expired in October and I just never got around to replacing it. I don’t actually *need *it, but it’d be good to have just in case I need to go on base for some reason. I’ll be late getting home. Oh well…

Blurf.

I’m getting the Saturday chores done along with the Sunday ones. .

Today is Nelson’s first birthday. We celebrated with a longer than usual walk this morning and will have his party next month with my fellow heathens at the parent park of the local dog park. It will be a benefit for a local animal shelter.

Happy Birthday Nelson!

I managed to get Cleo out from under the bed - I vacuumed in that room. She bolted for the hallway, then froze because Taz and Higgs were there. The standoff lasted till I turned off the vacuum and called Cleo back in.

Next week, she and her stuff will be ejected from that room. I’ll put her crate some place where she can hide (sorta) from Higgs and she’ll just have to deal. I’ll be glad when my daughter and SIL get here and they can deal with her. Silly kitteh…

blurf. My lower back is acting up. I barely slept at all last night as I could not get into a comfortable position. I took some pain meds and muscle relaxers and feel better now except the pain medicine makes my face itch. If I can’t get some relief today I will try to see the Doc in the morning. It is my extreme lower left side. I guess Sciatica. I am miserable.

I have almost 16 hours of comp time I need to use anyway. Tomorrow is the last day of the month so it would not be the end of the world if I am not there tomorrow. The 1st I have no choice.

Always something.

FCGM that is a pretty baby. I saw your photos on Facebook. She is just precious.

Laundry is done, and I went to Penzy’s too. I bought so much spice, a group of Fremen showed up and made me their leader.

Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated, I ushed, we et N.O.L. and nappage ensued. We shall sup on burgers and fries tomorrow night as neither of us really wants any foodstuffs right now.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NELSON!!! ::SKRITCHES::

HA****PPY birthday Nelson. Scritches for you birthday boy!

Happy Birthday Nelson. I’d send some rawhide bones, but I don’t have an address.

I’ve made a decision on when to retire. Today is the first day of the countdown to January 22, 2021. That day would be exactly 20 years after I took this job, in one thousand days. I’ve already figured out the halfway point, September 10, 2019.

butters, the only thing that ever helped with sciatica for me has been physical therapy. I hope you feel better soonest.

Nelson has barked his thank yous for the birthday wishes.

We went to the dog park where he had a good romp with the other puppers. I may begin his baby book after the current studio project is complete. :stuck_out_tongue: I fixed Napa chicken with rice and used up the cabbage in the fridge for fried cabbage. Tis yum!

I’m back from music camp, where I was with my wind orchestra.

Red I feel if I could just move the right way it would go back to normal. I did not do anything to set it off. I finally got enough drugs in me that it has eased off a bit. Now I just don’t know how anyone can live with severe back pain. Just two days and I am a mess.

I will decide about irk depending if I manage to get a decent night of sleep. I am training two new peeps tomorrow so I need to be there but Ms. Judy can manage if I am not.

Lawn is mowed and clippings bagged. Golden Corral wasn’t that tasty, but it was filling.

Happy b-day to the Admiral-bleNelson

Butters, be well. Backs can be a bi…well, unpleasant when they go wrong.

FCGM, great pics of the young’n.

Midget, so you’re winded after camp?

Baker, hope all works out for you in your retirement goal. I started counting at 60 heading for a planned retirement at 65, but after doing the numbers, it wasn’t worth staying and I got out at 63. Hope all goes according to plan.

doggio, the spice must flow!

All y’all take care and I’ll catch you on the next MMP.

So this one time at music camp…:D;)
But glad you had a good time.

Good luck!
