Back in the office in the MMP

It must be the time for password changes, I had two email reminders from our IT service desk telling me I had to change mine. So I did, and now I’ve had to stick a post-it note to my PC screen to remind me that I’ve changed it!

It’s cool and rainy today, I don’t mind that kind of weather, we had a pretty sunny and warm weekend which makes a change from the usual miserable weather we get in spring. It didn’t stop the lizards I work with having a heater blasting out from under the desk every day. I shall be retaliating this afternoon when the most lizardy one has gone for the day, that window will be open and there will be fresh air.

Swampy, I hope the memorial service went well and the church lady food was up to standard!

Butters, good to know that you are safe and also our Canadian friends…it’s been another bad week for nutters and stuff.

The above sentence is about nutters & Butters, mmmm, Nutter Butters.
Woke up early, both with a full bladder & chilled. Does one pull another cover on to rid the chill or get up & out from under the covers to relieve the bladder? No, staying in bed & peeing was not on the valid options list.

Morning all. Up at 0630 again, my sleeping-in button seems to be in the off position.

Temperatues back in the 50’s/60’s again, with chances for rain over the next couple of days. Bleh.

Concrete folks are coming to tear out the pavers and prepare the ground for the concrete, but given the weather forecasts, don’t know when they will be doing that. Taking before and after pictures for the record.

Filling out my Chinese Visa application, they want my name in Chinese!?!?! Hope Google Translate is up to it.

Raisin bread consumed and all is right with the world (for the moment).

spidey, you need to get a chamber pot.

ruble, I’d completely forgotten about Reptilicus. And know you’ve reminded me of it, damn your soul…

Cupcakes, sorry for your tenants but glad it wasn’t yours; I’ve been lucky and never had a car taken (I also get ugly cars).

Red, quit reminding me that my dental cleaning/checkup is due next Moanday (an appropriate day, don’t you think).

I have a couple extra chamber pots. When you camp at historic sites overnight no matter what the weather and the port-o-john (or Fort Necessity as we call them) is a couple hundred yards away --------
And that is the good thing about talking bad movies. In the hours before work I now plan on watching some old episodes of “Thriller” (Boris Karloff, not MJ) and maybe “Idaho Transfer” since last night popped those into my brain. :smack:

Or Pampers… either way.

Server is dead so I can’t work. Dammit. Second Moanday of the week…

BLURF. Irking as usual. I called in my new mommy to help out up front as I have not spent any time in my own office in weeks. She had to bring the baby but the baby is being very good just sitting in her stroller. Such a cute baby too.

Blurf

I am almost ashamed of myself but ---------------- wouldn’t a better wording have been: “Or Pampers… depends.”

…& if FCD wore them, he’d buy Grampers. :stuck_out_tongue:

Bathroom remodel continues. Hope it’s done this week. I dusted and vacuumed and have accomplished three loads of laundry. Go Me!

Mumpers never let me down…

Happy Toosday!

It’s overcast and supposed to rain today, and tomorrow, and the next day, and the next.

Sah-son isn’t happy but I woke him to mow the lawn before it rains.
He was supposed to do it Saturday, then Sunday, then yesterday.
He has been a bit lazy lately, athough he has been busy with school.
I slept horribly last night, waking every hour or so for no reason that I can think of.

Today is ear cleaning, toe nail clipping day. For the dog that is.
We found out last week it works a lot better if I hold Ripple and Sah-son does the clipping.

Lawn is done, ahead of the rain.

Obligatory post to note that I have read and am alive. Greetings on the day.

Bought new pens. Spent an hour drawing out the design, then noticed a typo in the printed bit on the edge. Dammit. Had to go into uni to print out another copy. Spent another 2 hours there drawing it out, then noticed right at the end that I’d messed up and missed one tiny little plant out…

I have decided I don’t care. My sanity is more important than any extra marks that one little plant may get me.

I’m very glad I went for the science route for classes, not the garden design option (just have this one design module, because people will assume you can redesign their garden if you study horticulture). At least with science it’s either right or wrong, and it doesn’t really matter if it’s pretty or not…

looks like Nut killed the MMP; I’ll try to revive the patient…

And…I got nothing. The pavers have been removed I’ve chosen the style and color of concrete for the pour, and now it’s up to the weather when it gets filled in.

And Liverpool is beating the shorts off of Roma FC.

Home - it’s started raining here. **FCD **has a meeting sometime soon, then we do dinner. Dunno why he didn’t set a more specific time than “Tuesday afternoon.” Sometimes he just doesn’t think.

I left Cleo’s room open and Taz came in. I picked him up and he hissed. Asshole. So I tossed him out. I need to get her integrated into the menagerie. It may have to wait till my daughter gets here.

Always something…

It looks like it should start raining again tomorrow. My eyes were just starting to get used to this bright light in the sky thing. Harrumph. (Auto-correct “fixed” my spelling on that - who knew there was a right way to do it?)

I need to send over all my financial stuff for the new house. Don twanna. Am sick. Boo. Hiss. Wahhh! :stuck_out_tongue:

We have supped and all is well.

My tenants told me their car was found. It was in Lawrence, about thrity miles away, and had been smashed into something. Possibly running from police, as the theif was caughtand has been arrested. I guess their insurance will take care of it, but it’s a major hassle.

I went to my doctor today. I have one presription already for a nail fungus, and will probably get more meds once the bloodwork and UA are analyzed. I will also be contacted about scheduling a mammogram and a shuddercolocoscopy. I’ve never had one of that latter and my mom is ticked at me about that, especially since my paternal grandmother died of colon cancer. I’m kind of blue about everything because I know I haven’t been maintaining my health all that well, now I have to pay for it.

{{{hugs}}} cupcakes. The colonoscopy ain’t fun, but it’s better than the alternative by a long-shot. I’ve done it a few times now (family history). One thing that makes it much, much easier is to switch to a clear diet a whole day before. I did that the last time. Much better. If you get it over with now, you won’t have it hanging over your head.

Worked, came home. Sounds like the upstairs neighbors are running around with a greased bowling ball. But I’m drinking a Hooligan.

Sorry Baker. But it’s never too late to start taking care of things.
