Back in the office in the MMP

{{{Lucky Louie}}} And hang in there, Butters.

Swampy, one of the reasons I’m getting the concrete patio is that I am no good with plants and at least this result keeps the weeds away.

Speaking of which, they made the pour this morning and are ‘stamping’ a pattern into it as I write this (pictures on my Facebook in a couple of days once completed). Rain due tomorrow, so I hope it sets in time.

Fast broken and re-reading of “Schlock Mercenary” is well underway, so life is good.

Is the plan to pave over the yard and paint it green?

Ruble “Muppet club” - I like that.

flytrap they make fairly decent artificial grass these days, for those who must have grass, but don’t have water, or don’t want to do yard irk. Sometimes I am tempted.

Shoes?

MetalMouse, how about that red door; do you see it, & do you want to paint it black?

Bad buns are one thing, but stooping to plagiarism is another.

What kind of bad buns? Hamburger? Cinnamon? Sticky?

But of course, kind sir.

I guess plagiarism would be sticky buns, another disgusting thing.

If you stole sticky buns, you’d have Sticky Fingers.
…& sticky buns are yummmmmy!

As long as it doesn’t rain enough during the pour to dilute the mix, it’ll be fine. Concrete will set up underwater.

I’ve had 3, or maybe 4, colonoscopies, with another coming up in June, along with a stretching of my schatzki’s ring. I made sure they will do the Schatzki before they do the other end. :o
The prep is indeed the worst thing about it, although, if they blow air up there during the procedure, you can have some of the worst gas you’ve ever had. The first time, I didn’t know this, and we stopped at Costco on the way home.
Let’s just say, we had to keep moving at a brisk pace through the store.

flytrap, the lawn will stay as is, I need a little exercise (as little as I can get away with) and lawn mowing accounts for a lot of it.

Actually a pretty nice day, even if I was house-bound for most of it. Maybe try to get out a bit this evening.

I’ve had 2 colonoscopies, and the prep is definitely the bad part. Second baddest part for me is the IV, thanks to my lousy veins. The procedure itself happens without my awareness, which suits me fine. In any event, I’m not due for a few more years.

Supper was early and yum. Rain continues - I thought we were supposed to see sun this afternoon. Obviously not. Taz ran into Cleo’s room, hissing and yowling ensued, then he ran out. Apparently he’s a wuss.

Ice cream later. Chillage now.

I am just so done. I have never actually thought of quitting my job but thought about it today. Still thinking. Just a shitty day all around.

Home and burgers are on the menu cause it’s all I can manage. Having a beer or six too.

Hang in there Butters.

nut, I hope you at least had graph paper. :stuck_out_tongue:

swampy, with your dislike for yahd irk, you must get double points for volunteering to mow the front/back forty of the church house.

{{{butters and Louie}}}

I’m learning a whole lot more for the back up job I’ll be doing. I have a feeling that this may become part of my regular duties. It actually wouldn’t work out too badly, as it would take up the first five days of the month, a normally slow time for the rest of my job.

swampie, I have a completely Southern question to ask.

Just how is sweet tea brewed/concocted? Tea, sure. But what it the sweet part? Is it sugar, or simple syrup, or even corn syrup? If I’ve committed a Soutern blasphemy by naming a wrong one, put it down to the ignorance of a heathen Yankee. Also, is one allowed to put lemon in the sweet tea?

Worked, came home. Got chicken marinating in the fridge, and Leafs/Bruins on the TV.

No. But I eat enough chillies that any polyps that show up get singed off.

Beats having [del]Flytrap[/del]Salad Fingers

A large quantity of sugar. And lemon goes well with Sweet Tea.

I can answer the sweet tea question. It’s sugar and I think it is ok to add lemon.

Burgers were meh. I have an ache of the haid. Only managed two beers so it’s not that.

Sweet tea will put a normal person into insulin shock. Apparently my co-residents become immune to it since drinking it as a child, when sugar is the stuff of life.
A cup of sugar into a quart of tea while it is still hot and very vigorously stirred.

The good thing we do with tea, which I heartily subscribe to, is that it is always fresh. Yankees (from my experience in New England) will keep it over night and serve it the next day in restaurants.

It is customary in Southern fast food establishments where one serves one’s own drinks, to have pots label “Sweet Tea” and “Unsweet Tea”.

Since I woke up with a foot cramp I’ll help you along with …

Hey Plant - :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

Sorry — Leviticus made me do it.
And just a couple short dammit.

Happy Thorsday!

It’s not cold outside, and according to my phone app it is supposed to get up to 68 and be N.O.S. today.

I’ve been up since 4am, Sah-son went to bed and left the dryer running, which I have told him NOT to go to bed while the dryer is running. I won’t go to bed or go out with the washer, dryer, or dishwasher running. Floods and fires happen.
So I am slightly annoyed with him.

We have to go to the college today for him to take his Business final. He needs to get a good grade on the final since he has a low A in the class.
He stil has to design a menu for Graphic Design. He was going to call the restaurant The Golden Leaf, until we looked it up and saw that that named is used for a marijuana dispensary.

MetalMouse - the one thing I hate about grocery pick up day is that I come home with a quarter ton of food and then I sit there and can’t decide what to freeze, what to make, and what to eat.
Too many options.
However, since I had already taken out shrimp to thaw, today I will make something with shrimp. I don’t know if I will make it with peppers and onions or with broccoli.
I was going to make hamburgers for him but we didn’t get any 80/20 ground beef, and 96% lean doesn’t make a good burger. I’ll figure something out, or he can eat pizza.
