I knew there was a reason I bought those purple fake suede heels a few years ago. Long have they rested in my bedroom, awaiting the day when they might join me, a miniskirt, many Hot Doper Babes and a plethora of yummy kilted men.

For the hotel seekers among us: Last year OpalCat and her family stayed at the Hotel Olcott, 27 West 72nd Street, just up the block from me, 212-877-4200. It’s a sort-of-funky, old hotel, and the rates are $120 per night for a regular room and $140 for a suite.
