Yeah, baby!!
peaches, I hope that your aunt has a good recovery.
miss owl, here’s to ruble! :lifts a glass:
moon unit, squee! Kiko, Rayita and the kittens are adorable.
Irked, bugged out early, bought groceries and came home. I took Nelson to the dog park, where he played with his best bud Watson (the sweet dachshund) for an hour, until it was dark and Watson’s human and I were frozen. Nelson got his pup cup of smoked turkey when we picked supper up at the BBQ and now, I’m in for the evening.
Tomorrow, I’ve volunteered with the recharging van (my company also owns UBreak/IFix who has these) at the old town, where they got hard hit by the storm. Sunday, I’ll go with some other heathens after our monthly service to serve soup and sandwiches to folks in East Nashville, another area hit by the tornado. I’m just glad that I no longer live or work in either place and be out of a home, irk or worse.
Whee, doggie! Half a fajita salad and two 20 oz. ‘Cadillac’ margaritas. Good dinner. And it’s only 18:15!
Cold, windy day. Made extra spucy chipolte chicken for dinner.
SQUEEEEEEEEEEE!
Cool!
I have to keep reminding myself when I wonder why I feel wrung out… 48 hours ago, I was in post-anesthesia after nearly 4 hours under to have my heart frozen on one side and microwaved on the other.
That and the cook’s attempt to kill me was pretty painful and made my eyes bleed.
Cool!
I feel your pain Gotti, I really feel your pain. (:))
OK, Beck, rev up the Barry White music! In a throaty voice For dinner, I’m having a roughly chopped salad of spinach, cucumber, and celery, with some very naughty red bell pepper, sprinkled with green onions, and spanked with a zero calorie Italian dressing. Oo. Yeah, baby. The big, bad main course is teriyaki beef with vegetables over some dirty, dirty rice. Dessert? Have you been very, very good?
I think my potential for a career in any sort of porn industry is pretty close to zero.
Spidey, that song will be going through my head for days now. I sometimes sing as I walk along. If I could get drivers to sing with me, the world would be a happier, if irritatingly flat place.
Moon unit, those kitties are adorable! I love those pics! You have a very, very sweet doggy.
gotti, as kindergarten teachers say, you and PWAISDN can be anything you want to be. If you can dream it, you can do it. The sky’s the limit. Not sure I can cram any more cliches in here, but you do you.
Gotti and Becks, get better already, or at least get family to sneak in better (or at least more palatable) food.
Red, may the volunteer work be fruitful.
moon unit, nice pics! The one with the dog/cat cuddling is really nice.
Not feeling all that well, was abed from 1-3pm but have done a few things and went out this evening to do a little shopping and ate at Burger King, where I spilled the Coke cup all over my passenger car seat–and the water bill that was sitting there. Will let it dry out tonight and see if I need to rewrite the check or not.
There is uniform distribution for soccer tomorrow and if I feel up to it I’ll go help there, I’m hoping this is one of those 24-hour bugs that pretty much disappear overnight.
Everyone have a good start to the weekend.
i Miss read Missred also. Always thought it was a play on words. Next time take the 1952 Vincent. What a great tune. With a red head.
Thanks for all your support with Imgur and me. It was a learning experience. I spent a lot of time emailing myself to double check if it was successful. Would like to upload a group. Instead of individual fotos. Probably can be done?
Happy you liked the fotos. They are cute little shits. Just to make it clear, I am on the city’s waiting list for sterilization. Waiting my turn. Hopefully they will be my last litter. When I raised the last two siblings, it was so much fun watching them play and grow up together. People should adopt siblings. Better than cable TV.
More mañana.
Buenas noches
Sitting in class, almost FOUR hours after I got up to get to said class. There was no caffeineation at the continental b-fast. It’s gonna be a looonnng day.
OMG - it’s spreading!! Quick, get the face masks!!!
I crack me up!!
I could not fall asleep last night. I’d start playing one of the mindless games on my tablet, and I’d nod off, so I’d put the tablet away, then I’d be wide awake. Lather-rinse-repeat. I gave up and started messing with Roku.
Their “free” channels are pretty well worthless. They have commercials, which don’t bother me, except they insert them literally in the middle of dialog. I expect they’re programmed by timers rather than breaks in the programs. I tried watching that way once, and it just pissed me off!!! So I’ve been deleting those stoopit channels.
In a little while, Daughter, Roxy, and I will head to Greenwell State Park. The library is doing story time, then the park is opening the barns so the kids can visit the critters - horses and goats and such. It’s chilly but N.O.S., so it should be nice.
I’ll figure out the rest of the day as it happens.
And FWIW, I kinda figured out Red’s username also, but I still had to take a shot at her hair!
Gently, of course, because I’m nice, dammit! ![]()
Happy Saturday!
Happy Saturday!
It’s friggin cold outside.
Supposedly the temp is 36, but it is cloudy and windy, and COLD!
We were all talking at the park, one woman looked up and said she thought the dogs were ready to go home. All of them were by the gate.
When the dogs want to go home, you know it’s cold.
We also have a Special Weather Alert today for Rapid Wildland Fire Growth.
I always thought MissRed was a play on MissRead, but then I also thought Sir T-Cups invented a very large bra - my brain goes in weird directions sometimes.
Today I should do some laundry, and I’ll irk, and I have a mess of cardboard that needs to be cut up for recycling. That can wait until tomorrow I think, when it is warmer and not so windy.
Also have to cut up the turkey and make turkey soup.
Up, caffeinated and sheveled. Afternoon hockey today. I did to hit the grocery store first.
OK. But not sure how this helps.![]()
Good Morning y’all.
I have a ‘stitch’ in my side. (;))
The lil’wrekker brought me a cold brew from Starbucks. Man, that thing is tasty.
She tells me it’s a nice day. A little chilly. I can’t tell from this hospital room.
Come on folks, tell me what yer eatin’
Just back from story time at the park, followed by a few errands. I’m having a bowl of the beef soup I made the other day and a pile of cucumber slices. Boring but it fills a void.
After ingestion, I’ll wash sheets and towels. That’s as far as I’ve planned.
It’s not that cold here, but it’s 41. Mrs. L.A. just had me start a fire.
Atkins - caramel double chocolate crunch bar.
6 grams of fat, 10 grams of protein, 4 net carbs, 14 grams of fiber, 160 calories.
Sounds a lot better than it tastes, quicker and easier than fixing something.
I’m off irk and getting ready to start the soup.
Not sure what I am putting in it except turkey and onions.
I don’t know if I’ll add some cabbage or cauliflower rice or zoodles or tomatoes.
I guess I’ll make it up as I go along.
Wild hogs maybe? I hear you on the light deflecting techniques. I carry multiple sunglasses of differing strengths for this very reason. I’ve been know to layer them.
Also, congrats on the news from the oncologist. ![]()
They are adorable! Did mama take the extra orphan?
Welcome back gotti and beck!
I never did notice that MissRed[COLOR=Black] was a play on “read”. :smack:

Happy birthday ruble. You are sorely missed.
I’m not sure what news I have to report. 'Beamette’s first day back to school went well. She’s starting with one class and then working her way up.
We are getting just a teeny bit of free water today, but the rest of the week shows promise. Fingers crossed for a wetter February than January. Of course, that won’t be hard. ![]()
