Back to the grind in the MMP

We have broccoli and mushrooms. I think I will violate Mrs. Plant’s (v.3.0) request for vegetables and thaw some shrimp.

We shall now retire to the boudoir for the evenin’. I feel sleepy time will be upon me soon.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

So, since we’re nown to 2 managers, my next day off is…August, maybe? On the other hand, it’s a sack full of OT to hold me over till I win Powerball.

I know, to pay my electric bill, I need an ID, a password, a captcha, the blood of a virgin werebeaver, the Holy Grail, and the echo of a duck. Going Amish would be less of a hassle.
Flytrap, sweet potato casserole, with baked squash and onions with basil and thyme.

Sort-of hoagies for dinner. Actually just some toasted lunch meat and cheese sandwiches. But they were good.

There is a modern innovation called a “Postage Stamp”. :dubious:

The damned eat casseroles made with Campbell’s Mushroom Soup in hell. :dubious:

I could almost make it across TN in two days on a bicycle. It’s only 6-7 hrs in a car.
Just got home from R C, & ingested some leftovers. I’m still hongree, though.

Horse puckey.

Could someone who watched tonight’s BBT tell me what Stuart said in the final tag? And am I the only one who thinks he’s living in his car?

A 17th Century invention is “modern” to you?:dubious: The Amish and stone age tribes laugh at your backward ways.

You put Cream of Mushroom soup in sweet potato casserole? You’re doing it wrong.:stuck_out_tongue:

Sarcasm and humor, difficult concepts for the mentally challenged. :dubious:

Yet sometimes you get it.

It’s like 400 miles and he’s in pretty good shape; I’m betting he could bike it in two days. I’ve crossed it a few times myself (they have amusement parks there) in like 7-8 hours without pushing it at all.

Actually the first postage stamp was the Penny Black released in England on May 1 1840. The first US postage stamps were issued on July 1 1847. Before that mail was stampless and the person getting the letter usually paid for it. There were some pre-paid letters but they were marked by the person accepting them for transport or sometimes “block stamped” (think rubber stamp) rather than anything you would recognize as a stamp. (My late FIL was a MAJOR stamp geek)

And for the record, if you ever insult my Amish friends again, I’ll never buy a beer or a bowl of bad chili again. Comparing them to Flytrap – you should be ashamed of yourself.

I LOVE THE DOPE!

I wasn’t familiar with the song so I went and youtubed it, and the next song to play was one we often use in Mass and that I’ve been sure for a long time the “hebrew” part of our lyrics had to be distorted seventy-times-seven ways. Yup, we can say that there are some “slight” differences between both and leave it at that (the original song is Evenu Shalom, what we sing is only a part of it).

Blurf. I am at irk, it is irksome. It’s a friend’s birthday today so we are off out tonight for cocktails and Chinese food. Why is it not quit o’clock yet?

Dang - I actually agree with you on something!! I refuse to use any recipe that calls for Cream-of-Anything soup. I can make my own cream sauce, thanks.

I slept with Mel last night, and getting up was a challenge. I only woke once that I recall, looked at the clock, and went back to sleep. It was glorious! And today is a short day - only 8 hours! YAY!!

TGIF! Happy Firday!!

Up, caffeinated, off to work. Hockey afterwards.

I ner ment any insult to the Amish, or stone Age tribesmen. Flytrap is something completely different.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 52 Amurrkin and cloudy with a predicted high of 64 and cloudy for the day. Tomorrow is supposed to be rainy with a temp near seventy and then cool down again. Weather be weird!

Today is OYKW’s bday. He left a few minutes ago to go do a home monitorin’ visit. I shall make him his breakfast dindin tonight. I shall also go by DQ to pick up his cake which I ordered yestiddy. I’m a catch am I not!

OK, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. At least 'tis Firday.

Happy Firday Y’all!

Serious blurfage

So, the car wouldn’t start on Wednesday. Jump-starting it didn’t help. So my mechanic is sending a tow truck to haul it in to his shop. They should have done it yesterday, and could have, had they sent the guy over in the morning like they were supposed to had they not gotten crazy busy. But I put up with the delays because I trust the mechanic. He’s never overcharged me, never spoken down to me, and never padded the bill or surreptitiously created new problems so I’d have to go back in days later (like the guy I used before him).

GIANT GREEN BLURF

At irk and boy is it irksome today plus it is raining.
