Back to the grind in the MMP

Calzone was yum! Plus I ordered a lasagna that’ll be divided and frozen for future noms.

Now I plan to veg the night away. Probably sleep with Mel again tonight.

Does Mel know about Stevie the Bat? :dubious:

Two words: puppy pads.

Dindin has been successfully made and ingested. I planned well. Everything was done almost at the same time. I have the necessary skills and talent to be a shorter order cook at WH.

OYKW says thanks for the bday greetin’s. We called our friend who invitated us over for chili tomorrow to ask if we could bring the cake for dessert. This was at OYKW’s request btw. She said fine as it would save her from goin’ to the sto’ to buy sump’n cause she does not bake. Win-win! Everybody can have their cake and ice cream and eat it too.

I reached page 100 of my Epic Tale. That calls for a couple of fudge-covered Oreos.

We shall now retire to the boudoir to celebrate OYKW’s bday etc until sleepy time.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Shouldn’t you be asking MamaPlant that question?

Seven words: Best four hundred dollars I ever spent.

From any Amish out-standing-in-their-field? :stuck_out_tongue:

There are actually a few things I do where I prefer a dung fire. It gets hot fast even without a bellows and cools at a fairly even rate.

Well, I’m glad I, ehm, enbounce your life.
Happy belated birthday to Older-We-Know-Who.

We were looking at this year’s calendar and Holy Friday falls on March 25th, feast of the Annunciation  “oh, hi, Miss But-I’m-Not-Married, you’re going to have a baby boy and uhm… they’re killing him about… today plus minus a few years…” Ok, it’s a bit exaggerated but damn.

What an exciting life!

Up, caffeinated, off to work.

[Brian’s Mom]He’s not a Messiah, he’s a naughty boy![/Brian’s Mom]

To bed before 9, up at 6, woke a few times but always fell back to sleep. I’d say it was a successful sleep. **FCD **is still abed - I have no idea when he came back last night - I vaguely recall hearing the theme to the Netflix series he’s been watching,

We’re going to the 10AM showing of Star Wars, then to lunch. After we get home, I’ve got to divide the lasagna into freezer packs, then do the same with the beef I crock-potted yesterday. Except part of the beef will become soup for supper tonight or tomorrow. That pretty much sums up the plans for today. Which means tomorrow is laundry day - something to look forward to!

We were talking last night about “what if we won the lottery?” and naturally, I had to say “Well, I’d pay off the VISA bill.” For a while when we were living in FL, it seemed every time the interviewed someone about big lotto payouts, that would be the first thing they’d mention. How big were their VISA bills?!?!? The other comment was “I’ll probably keep my job.” Um, no you wouldn’t. Don’t lie.

ETA: We also decided we’d book a cruise in one of the suites instead of the cheapest inside rooms.

Maybe we’ll get a couple of tickets while we’re out today, in addition to the group buy **FCD **bought into at work. Come to think of it, there was no group buy at my work… weird.

Anyway, Happy Saturday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 54 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 61 and rain this afternoon/evenin’. Rah.

Like MOOOOOOM I had a really good night’s sleep. I even pulled an all nighter. Didn’t have to get up and go pee.

No biggie plans for the day. Laundry will ensue because I need to do so. We may go out for N.O.L. and tonight we go eat chili at a friend’s house. That sounds like enough of an agenda for a Sattidy.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. I suppose some form of purtification should also ensue.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

:eek::eek: Guess we know what happened when you didn’t get up to go pee…:eek::eek:

:stuck_out_tongue:

Moooommmmm!, I’d keep my job if I won the lottery. I would however show up to work every day in a chauffeur drive Bentley.

Happy Saturday!

I woke up too early but I can’t get back to sleep, so may as well get up now.

According to my phone it’s a foggy 37 outside, according to my window it’s dark and according to my furnace it’s cold.

I don’t know what I’m going to do today.
There’s plenty that needs to be done.

Somebody I know posted on FB that they want to win the power ball so they can quit on Monday.
They don’t work, they don’t go to school, they don’t do jack shit - so what are they going to quit?
Collecting welfare checks and mooching off other people?

And you’d save your Rolls for trips to the grocery store, right? And take the Maserati thru the McD’s drive thru??

Blurf

If I win the Power Ball tonight, the first thing I’m going to do is set up a trust fund for the Buds, then I will help a friend of mine who has been all but homeless for several years because of his con artist ex-wife. I also promised my chorus I would build them a proper rehearsal hall, with plenty of smaller rooms for section rehearsals, a large auditorium for performances, and several other amenities making it attractive to community groups and local theatre. The rent for space would be on a sliding scale based on the size of the group, and the house gets a small percentage of the door from any performance other than my chorus’. I’d hire a staff of managers and a reputable security firm. There’d be plenty of parking. After a few years, it would attract the interest of touring artists who prefer small venues to stadium shows. All profits would go into the Buds’ trust fund.

I don’t think I’d move, I like this place. But I would definitely get newer book cases and storage for all my games, jigsaw puzzles, and tchotchkes; and a bigger cat tree for Smokey
