Today’s Local Rag ran a story on what the Powerball winnings after taxes would buy in Hippy Hollow. If I won, I would build a new I-26 connector and name it the “Shut The Hell Up At Least It’s Finally Done” bypass. And I’d still have a few million left to live on!
I’m looking out for my community.
I have a vacation coming up in about a week and some change. I’ve made the executive decision that this is the year I make the long trip over the mountains and go to Gatlinburg. I already have a room booked and a list of possible things to do. One of which is see penguins because they have those there.
I would show up for work one last day…drunk and naked!
I’m battlinga head cold that I picked up in Indiana. I also hav a dental appointment around lunch, then SIL is taking me tfor Vietnamese food as a belated birthday celebration.
Call me the day before and I’ll come down and show up drunk and naked with you. No charge, just bail money.
Something we have always seriously said if we hit for like $10million or better -------- just across from the Phoenix rollercoaster in Knoebels is one of the family houses. Terrific ranch-ish thing with a nice little yard. It’s not used as a house anymore but still kept in “house shape” for visiting acts and people like that. We would approach the family and say “We want that house, for as long as we live, for $1 million. When the second of us dies, you get it back for nothing but until then its ours.” I think they would go for it; those people could manage a couple really great rides for that amount of money.
We went and had an early N.O.L. at the little bar just down the road. We both had the really good cheeseburger and fries. Well, each of us had his own cheeseburger and fries. Plus a beer each. We don’t do good at sharin’.
Oh and we bought powerball tickets just cause why not.
Now I have to get up, eat something, and get cleaned up. I’m debating heading out just to get a power ball ticket. I don’t even know where to buy lottery tickets up here. There’s a convenience store around the corner, but I don’t know if they sell tickets. I think it’s a 7-11 at the end of my street and it should sell them. We have mostly sheetz out here and I don’t know if they sell tickets either. I don’t think I’ve ever been inside one.
Well, I got my tickets ($20 worth) up in Tennessee, since Ali-bama doesn’t believe in that there wicked gambling lottery. Strange thought, about 80% of the cars parked at the place I bought my tickets at had Alabama license plates…
Need to get some papers organized and the 2016 files started, probably do that during the afternoon-evening tackleball games.
Otherwise, staying inside on a cool, misty/rainy, blurfy day.
Howdy! I have risen, greeted the day (BLURF), and had coffee. Today shall involve the purchase of lottery tickets and dog food, with the possible addition of laundry.
I have 3 cats and one small dog on my lap. I guess I can’t move.
We saw Star Wars and all I’m gonna say here is that if you like the originals, you’ll like this one.
We didn’t get any lottery tickets, tho. The only place I know for sure to get them is a liquor store in Leonardtown. I might drive back there later. Maybe. Maybe not.
My mother called back with the answers to my questions - so that is done.
I gave one of the grand nephews a check for Christmas and I wondered when my niece was going to get around to cashing it. I also wondered if she still had all the savings bonds I have given the two older boys. She moves around and loses everything, but they are in a safe place so I don’t have to worry about digging out that information.
I’m debating getting groceries tomorrow because next week is supposed to be PDC. However, it’s supposed to rain tomorrow.
School starts Moonday but he is planning on doing three assignments today - one of which he’ll probably need my help, since he has to upload a picture. He’s not happy about that part, he hates the introduce yourself assignments and adding a picture to it isn’t helping.
For the math class you have to post two lies about yourself and one truth, and then you have to post to other people’s posts trying to guess which are which. I think it sounds like fun, he thinks it doesn’t. I think with his hair he should say he plays in a rock band, but he doesn’t like that lie.
I need to get to irk, which has been quite irksome lately.
Howdy all. Lazy day here. I do have plans to sort out and store a bunch of clothing tomorrow. Just couldn’t make myself do much of anything today. Tahred.
Hubs got home last night so our steak night is tonight as soon as the baked potatoes are done.
Just ordered Lucky Louie another 30 pound bag of dog food. The last bag I bought I didn’t know if I would even have a dog but he is doing good with no signs of cancer. It’s been six months since the tumor was removed with no signs of re-growth. So he will have food for another six months. Bless his little heart.
Mostly vegged out watching the 100th PA State Farm Show; something I hope to do a lot of the coming week. Haven’t actually made it there for too long and really miss it.
