Do you own your own home, Spiderbrat? :dubious:
Yay for Louie!
And the Canes win, after almost snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
I think recipes are needed. ![]()
I would dearly love to strangle about three of my co-“workers” today. I should manage to cool off by Monday. I hope.
Miniature emperor did dinner last night, leftovers from that are tonight’s.
Must prep to wrangle toddlers tomorrow (I’m now in the church nursery, taking care of kids 18 months - 3 years old). That should be fun, since they’re seriously adorable.
Italian Chicken:
Marinate boneless skinless chicken thighs in 6 glugs chardonnay, 2 glugs Italian olive oil, 1 clove garlic, and some diced shallot and enough water for 3 hours. Mix 2 cups bread crumbs, 3 shakes basil , 3 shakes garlic powder, 3 shakes onion powder, 3 shakes marjoram, 3 shakes oregano ,4 shakes parsely flakes, and 2 shakes thyme with salt and pepper. Toss to coat, and bake at 375 for 45 minutes.
Cheesy rice: 2 cups instant rice, 2 cups chicken stock, 3 glugs vermouth, 1 quarter tblsp butter, 2 glugs olive oil. Cook according to directions, then fold in 1 cup Asiago/Parmesan/Mozzarella.
Jesus, dark meat and cheese. :dubious:
Sounds good to me.
I don’t like dark meat, and I like rice made with chicken broth, garlic and sesame oil.
My mileage obviously varies.
Yes, & if you call, I won’t answer either.
Doggio, you need more garlic in that recipe…& can I glug a good IPA, or vodka instead of the chardonnay as I won’t drink a whole bottle in just six glugs?
Curses, foiled again!
I just saw Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) off to work. It is damn cold after having the A/C on today. Two shootings in the neighborhood where she works, one in the restaurant next to her place of business.
Crap.
I forced myself to get up early, since I’ll *have *to tomorrow. Once **FCD **is up and about, we’ll go get some breakfast, then I have the Adventures of Laundry to fill my day… or part of my day.
The lasagna has been cut into 8 hunks, individually wrapped, and frozen in packs of 2 for 4 future dinners without the bother of cooking. I didn’t mess with the soup yesterday, so that’s also on today’s agenda. **FCD **will be watching football - he desperately wants the Redskins to lose, just because.
It’s weirdly warm out - nearly 60° - but tonight it’s supposed to plummet to the low 20s. In fact, the lows for the next 10 nights will be at or below freezing. So I guess it’s winter again. At least there’s no snow threatened… yet.
Onward into the day! Happy Sunday!!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 52 Amurrkin out which is also the predicted high for the day. Temps are supposed to get below freezin’ at night for the next few days at least. We need that to happen especially for the peaches. Peach trees need below freezin’ temps early on so they can produce fruit. So far it’s been way to warm for that to happen. A few weeks of below freezin’ temps would be good even though I don’t like cold weather.
I have ush duty this mornin’. Today is the Feast of The Baptism of Jesus and there will be a Baptism this mornin’. Deheathenization will be long today. This evenin’ we, or at least I, shall attend a Rosary and visitation for a wonderful person who died on Wednesday at the age of 94. I shall attend his funeral tomorrow mornin’ at the local Catholic church. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to a Catholic funeral but the liturgy is close enough to the Episcopal liturgy I can deal.
OK that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy is demandin’ sustenance. Also, at some point purtification for deheathenization must commence.
Happy Sunday Y’all!
Up, caffeinated, off to work in a bit. It’s 58 and sunny right now.
You can drink anything you want while making dinner. “I love cooking with alcohol, sometimes I even put t in my food.”![]()
Reminds me of the times when I’d go to a party, bring a bottle of wine, drink the whole bottle, and not get too sick the next day.
Those days are gone. I miss them sometimes.
Well, I should get to work shortly. A music arranger’s work is never finished. There’s always more music to write.
blurf
I am grateful for this bizarre Winter warmness, otherwise we’d have a couple of feet of snow already, with more piling up all day.
Up…that’s all I’m admitting too.
Guess I’m not rich; but looks like nobody else is, so I’ll have to make another pilgrammage to Mecc…er, Ardmore, TN for another shot at vast wealth.
Finally getting into the 30’s here, due to dip well below freezing tonight, fortunately, no rain/snow is in the forecast.
Need to vacuum around the house today; strange, I don’t mind the other chores I have to do, but for some reason the easiest (pushing a Hoover around the carpets) is the one I seem to put off the most.
OK, that’s all. See all y’all on the next thread.
I don’t mind vacuuming, but I do hate to dust!
Back from breakfast, and I just ordered a replacement cat box from PetSmart. As soon as I get the email saying it’s ready for pickup, we’ll be off to Waldorf. I’ve got a load of jeans in the washer and a load of shirts and socks standing by. And once we’re back from Waldorf, I’ll make the soup.
Good times, good times…
Dust is a noun, party is a verb.
**rosie **- I need to embroider that on a silk pillow!
Happy Sunday!
It’s a cloudy, rainy, 48 degrees outside. Tonight the temps are supposed to drop to below freezing. Yuk, and we have to go get his textbooks tomorrow.
One of his professors is already sending out emails about the homework that is due, how important it is not to fall behind, and classes don’t even start until tomorrow.
I keep telling Sah-son to chill out and not let it get to him.
Today will be a do a lot of nothing day. It seems like all the little jobs that need to be done don’t count for much, until you don’t do them for a while.
